I bought a bunch of these years ago and have now run out. They fit just perfectly on small longbow risers. I can't remember who makes them and can't find them anywhere I've looked. Anybody got a suggestion?
Can we have another clue?
Killdeer :D
Sorry.....I'm fresh out (:
Billy
None here. Hap
what are you looking for?
You guys are too funny!!!
send me your address, i have a few i can send out asap
Depends
I just bought a dozen at a yard sale. Don't know what they are so if you want them you can have them.
I only have a few left and since they are getting hard to find I don't think I'll be parting with any of them. :jumper:
You guys are killing me LOL
you are an relentless bunch
Good point MYSTIKBOW. Maybe I should hang on to mine. Who knows, in a couple of years they might be worth something.
I heard the company got a bail out.....but now they are gonna tax them 700%....so, I put all the ones I had in a safety deposit box. If it weren't for that, I'd help ya out, cause I got small risered longbows as well....I know how you feel.
I got more than I can use, whats your address?
Here in Italy they roam free and live on your side of the road
I just had a thought. I'd be willing to trade a couple of these if you had a couple of those other things to trade.
Huntryx,...don't buy into Mystikbow's deal....the stock on 'other things' has dropped to $1.02 a share.
:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
I have a few but I'm keeping mine as they are made in the U.S.A. The new ones are made in China
 And to think I threw all mine away back in the 80's. :banghead:
Now that just ain't fair! Why ya gotta be like that man?
Spotted Owls were found in the area they got the materials from to make them and is now off limits so there won't be anymore. Sorry.
Just lookin out for a fellow Trad Ganger Mystik!!! :D
Ha! Found one in the basement, it's a little dirty and has a small crack but with the proper use of duct tape a couple band aids and a red thumb tack.....good as new. You failed to mention where to send "it"
I thought I had a couple kickin' around but mine only fit on big longbow risers

I have all of the new ones and I am jacking the price up!!! :p
:knothead: I don't have a friggin' clue.
Dennis
Nobody wants the new ones, the old ones have the mojo! Well, most of the old ones, anyway.
I held onto mine all these years, but demand went steadily down. I put them in a safe place. I hate when I do that.
Killdeer
I think they are costing about as much as a piecost. Whats a piecost, about ten bucks.
I also heard they are as scarce as henweighs, whats a henweigh, about two pounds.

:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
thanks every one, this is great. I only have one left, I'm gunna keep it.
Geraldo just said that he will opening a vault in Chicago that is rumored to be full of new old stock! Results to be announced in one hour.
I can't figure out if he is looking for these or them. He asked about both.
That guy over yonder, he had some way back when. But, he traded them for a set of the others, to the lady up that away.
She in turn, sold them to a kid down yonder ways.
That kid growed out of 'em and handed 'em off to a brand new "gang" member.
Since that ganger ain't so new no more, she sent them back to that feller over yonder; and he forgot where he put 'em...I think..?..?
Wondered what those were. Nearly threw them out a hundred times already. You can have them all if they fit. Sitefer or Nschtenk?
I had one once. I brought it home, still in the original wrapper. My boys wanted to check it out.
They broke it within minutes. I didnt bother to replace it.
Now the govt wants to tax it.
The ones I have left are all left hand so I doubt anyone will want them. If you do however you can have them for twice the regular price.
Well, I found one of them! :D
Whoops...the cat's got it..gotta go!
Killdeer :banghead:
Didn't they use to come on wheelie bows but now they use them on small riser trad bows? I think they have a bunch in Walla Walla!
Have you-all checked out the profile of the perpetrator of this perfidious post? I am afraid that we have all been snookered into participating in an underhanded experiment, possibly proving some postulation for which somebody other than we will be rewarded with fame, professional accolades and not a little bit of cash.
Sheesh.
Killdeer :saywhat:
But Trix are for kids Killie!
The psychobabble-gobbledygook aspect had not crossed my mind as yet,Killie.
:knothead:
I had thought that such a high browed group as this; would have been more aware of the shenanigans that some sueded elbow, riff raff might attempt.
But alas...
You might be a tradganger if - ya join in the haranguing of a fellow member, just cause we all need a chuckle - or two... :jumper: :jumper:
Y'all are just messing with me aren't you. I was seriously downstairs looking for a couple of those things and now I'm getting it. Just playing games... Not nice to be messing with folks like that.
ChuckC
Well heck then, I'll just ask during my next appointment. HA! Then I'll have one all of you.
Thanks for the tip Killie.
Didja find 'em?
Killdeer :campfire:
darned prooff reading. What I meant to say is
"I'll have one up on all of you" :readit:
Susan,
I used to be a pack rat, but I've adopted the lifestyle of if you haven't used within the past six months you don't really need it, so you can have all of mine. just call me and I'll hook ya up.
She's looking for Kanooter points! :bigsmyl:
You guys should know better than to reply when a "PSYCHOTHERAPIST" creates a thread!!
Shame on you all....
I figured out what this little red guy is saying...
I'm not crazy :banghead:

Good catch Killie.
Three times the regular price then.
I had some that I wasn't using, but my bride found them, hidden in my junk room. Now she's using them for 3 Day Events. Says they hold up well, except when the horse falls at the Water Complex. Said when they got soaked, they shrunk. So I've got a couple that are two sizes too small, that she's willing to part with. Asking 3 x's origional price, cause they have experience, now!
Those are much too fussy for cross-country. Folks only use them for stadium and dressage these days.
Killdeer :wavey:
They are made of unobtainium.
Ok I found some out behind the current bush. THere were two of them and I need to know if you want both of them.
Jer Bear
Jer Bear, look behind the previous bush, they hide more then the current bush.
There no longer made the quality control was bad there were made in Prussia before the war.

:readit: You'll find them in Mexico or China or Japan
Huntryx, I see you peekin around the corner watching us, laffin and takin notes!! :wavey: :biglaugh:
I've never been accused of being overly smart. I don't get it???
Todd
Folks have been rummaging through their treasure caves all night, and if that ain't hunting, I dunno what is. As for the hundreds of man hours this has incurred, one staggers to realize what that would cost a patient on the couch. My traditional Easter dinner of hassenpfeffer got burnt as I battled the dust bunnies for hidden items of questionable identity. Thank goodness for burritos, the dinner you can scarf with one hand while you plow through boxes with the other!
I have to turn on the afterburners now, and jet on off to work, but I will be right back at it when I get home. I hope I don't make too many mistakes, misdelivering Ed McMahon's missives is entirely too easy when one has not slept.
Killdeer~ the diligent!
Try a 12 speed racing bicycle inertube.
GOOD news, I just bought the dies off the third original owner from the mid to early teens. after I get aroundtuit and another thing I will be up an walking. get on the list boys and girls, this will be the best thing since wheelie bows.
I saw one on Antiques Roadshow, I think. It was either that or one of those other things. Finest example the expert had ever seen. If he had it in his shop it would bring lots of money, but for insurance purposes, it's probably worth more. You just never know in today's market.
This is pretty funny--I went to download a photo of the item and it didn't work. I'll try to describe. It is a black plastic arrow holder, sticks to the outside of the bow w/ self-stick tape, the part that sticks is about 2 inches long, 1/2" wide and has holes in it. A very thin plastic cord has a gripper for the arrow on the end. When you pull the arrow back, it lets go. I think I saw Denny Sturgis using one on some video tape. Does this help?
Ahhhhh! Those things. I have one. 3 rivers sells them. Is this what you're talking about?
These work well also.

Well so much for my monopoly on that business venture.
Too funny!
Wow, that's a complicated contraption... a matchstick and a rubber band do the same thing ;)
Except the matchstick bursts into flame when you shoot...... no, the 3 rivers one doesn't fit as well on a longbow riser.
Just took a case of them to the dump!
No, it's NOT a Sta-Jac. This one is 100% plastic, no metal like the sta-jac.
Hey Huntryx, is this post like an ink blot test or something ??? LOL
Dang.....this was alot more fun before we knew what it was  :biglaugh:
I traded mine for what was behind door number four. Should have held on to them!
Dang, I always get in on the fun too late! I see the mystery was solved.
Now whydja have to go and spoil all the fun? Mystery ... that's the spice.
I saw a completely plastic one at 3Rivers...have you checked the site?
Killdeer :campfire:
Sorry to spoil things, I think I know what he wants. 3 Rivers Archery sells them, on page 15 in their Spring Cataloge 2009
I use the Kwik-lok on my longbows with no problem. They are the best I have found. The Kanati would definitely qualify as a small riser. My son also used one on his Martin ML10. If you find a smaller riser than that I'd be surprised.
Unless of course it was that other thing you were looking for all along. In that case I gave mine to my daughter, but by grandson flushed it down the toilet, sorry.
Greaaaat! And I was just gett'n ready to explain how to make a primitive one!

So THATs it? I was thinking of something totally different. But, its still broken.
My older Sister's younger Sister's younger Brother's Wife's Sister-in-laws Husband has one that looks like this.

It prevents Freudian slips.... :bigsmyl:
You guys are a laugh a minute :biglaugh: No, it's not the 3 Rivers one. I have to find a way to post a picture, I guess. And you're right it was more fun when it was mystery fodder.
I will give my surgeon a call he may have found one yesterday while he was working on me. :biglaugh:
Jack
I gotta tell ya folks, this thread has dam# near broken my fun meter. Thanks to all for the smiles.
Susan...you sure are a good sport.... are you the same Susan Moss that bought custom wool carpet from me are you?
Terry- I'm not wearing any at this time so, no, I think there must be another. This has been totally hilarious--love it! :jumper:
They are painted with lead paint and can cause brain damage :)

Does anybody know where I can get Nebuloney? Makes a great sandwich.....

I have a spare finger but don't think its what you want . Drew
Who gave you the finger, Drew?
Killdeer
When I got married I had some of these and some of the other things now I have nothings.
i am SO confused !
ChuckC
this thread has made me laugh harder than I have in weeks, let nobody say that Tradgangers don't have a sense of humor - maybe twisted but FUNNY ...
Drewsbow--no, that's not it either. Nothing ius as good as it was before, in the old days. Nothing........
Venison is, and puppies, and the subtle smell of shadbush, and the clean, mineral taste of water from a cold spring.
So, did you ever get a picture of the defunct thingy?
Killdeer
I have the photo, just can't get it to work. I'll keep trying, for everyone's sake.
Can you email it?
:wavey:
Don't think so, the little springy thing might get stuck somewhere.
LEAD PAINT! That explains ALOT!
Did it look like this?
http://www.yeoldearcheryshoppe.com/arrow-holder-p-2297.html
Yes, email it so we can delete it and carry on as we started.
I FOUND IT-- it's the "redi-shot Arrow Holder". Was it good for you? It was great for me....
I'll still respect you in the morning.
Killdeer ~where are my cigarettes?
Kathy : Who the heck hasn't given me the finger :0)
Guys, i was wondering. What the hell are we talking about?
I hear what you folks are sayin' and see where your comin' from.
Oh good! Now we have a picture!
