Have used fletch tape on wood, aluminum,and Gold Tip wood grain with great results.Can't get the feathers to stay on the Three Rivers Traditional only shafts,even the Duco doesn't stick well,anyone had better luck,if so whats the answer?

What kind of finish is on them? Would lightly buffing them with steel wool give the surface some more tooth for the tape or glue to stick to? What does 3 Rivers say to fletch with?
Couldn't find anything on 3 Rivers site about what to use, I'll try the steel wool
I always prefer to use arrow wraps on carbons,better feather adhesion and easier to redo later.Wraps are easy to remove and redo when feathers get mess up.I just wipe the shaft with alocohol and put a wrap on and fletch away.
Use the flecth tite in the silver tubes ,platinum I believe. Fletch tape will come off in cold weather not a good choice for any arrow if you live in a colder area.....Tim
Have had no trouble getting fletch tape to stick on any shafts, make sure it is clean, use 91% isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Never had to scuff shafts with steel wool but should help. I have gone away from the wraps as it is hard for me to get one feather off cleanly to replace.
The finish on the 3Rivers shaft is the Easton Micro smooth finish for a quiet release and easier target removal. Different from other carbons out there. If your going to use glue, cyanoacrylate (super glue) is the best. There are bunch out there under various names and no adhesion problems. Platinum, Duco, Fletch Tite, nor arrow mate with bond to that finish. Cyanoacrylate is it for glue. I like to use arrow wraps the best and then fletch with Bohning Platinum glue. It dries really fast and then is a beeze to refletch without scraping glue and damaging shafts. dino
