It'll be awhile till any purchase/orders are made. I have one bow so far, a 68" one-piece 50# longbow.
Does the gang have suggestions for bows to look at that fit this description:
3-Piece takedown
Still able to get new limbs for them
"Low-Wrist" or longbow/50's recurve
Don't care how pretty/fancy they are.
Maybe a better question would be:
How likely is it that a bowyer COULDN'T take a recurve and put a LB grip on the riser?
Would like to buy a "standard" model or production bow just due to costs.
Should note my current findings are:
Pronghorns
Hornes
I know there's a few others but I've been "outta da loop" for a few months and can't recall the others. I'm sure there are some I'm not aware of as well.
The Black Widow PSR and Kota Killum jump to my mind.
RER XR is modeled after the 50's styled bows and the handle or grip can be ordered to whatever style pleases you. Add a set of longbow limbs too if you want the ability to change.

I think kohannah makes one as well.
I second the Horne's. :bigsmyl:
Robertson Peregrine for a 50's style recurve and the Pronghorn's are about as nice shooting as they get for a three piece longbow.
I stumbled across Rampart bows thru rocky mountain specialty gear, a sponsor here. Yellowstone makes a very nice, reasonably priced 3 pc. longbow as well. Lots of good ones out there! Mike
