Title: Tomahawk Diamond bows...
Post by: kayakfisher on April 08, 2009, 10:03:00 PM
Hello all!  I'm new to archery in general and have been learning a lot from reading this forum.

I'm looking at the Diamond series Tomahawk bows and would like to know the shooting differences between the Desert Fox and the SS with equivalent specs.  Is there any reason not to purchase one if I specify an appropriate length and weight for me?  I'm thinking 62" at 45# or 50# would be good to start with since I have a draw length around 27" and a fairly strong upper body.  I will use it for targets, maybe 3D and small game.  Thanks in advance for any advice!

Steve

just starting... go with the lighter build good form and then (if you need to) move up in wieght. 45 can take care of alot of game.

besides looking nice i know nothing about the tomahawk bows

Steve,

I've got a Tomahawk, and liked it so well that my wife now also has one!!  Nice bows....I don't think you'll find a lot of difference between the two you're looking at!!

My Buddy has a T-Hawk and it is a fine a longbow as I have ever shot. Its really smooth on the draw and purty quick to boot.RC

The SS has bamboo, it's a little smoother and faster but not a huge difference between the two as far as performance.
