Title: What is your FOC?
Post by: mancole5 on April 08, 2009, 11:38:00 AM
Using the dynamic spine calculator, my FOC is right at 25%. Is this too much?

It's not too much FOC with a carbon arrow, anything over 20% I call EFOC.Most of my carbons are around 16% to 20%.But with wood and aluminum I still like around 10% to 14%.I tune my arrows for the best flight and they usally end up in that area.

Not at all, my carbons run around 26% using the AMO method prescribed by Ashby. There are more than one formula to calculate %FOC that will give different answers. When comparing arrows, most speak in terms of AMO, is this the formula used in the Dynamic Spine Calculator?

Thanks,
DB
