I finally got my first custom longbow from James Berry today. It is a true work of art. Details are amazing from tip to tip. James is just great to work with. It is 62" long and 53#@28. It has a yew core. The riser is african wenge and black locust with actionwood highlights that kind of change color in the light. It has zebrawood, fire cocobolo and one or two other woods that I can't remember. Just absolutely gorgeous bow. I couldn't be happier with the details and the quality of work.

Beautiful bow Brian!! Bet is shoots as sweet as it looks.

SWEET, If it shoots as good as it looks you've got a keeper.

What an ugly bow, you should send it up to the Mohawk Valley to be disposed of correctly...lol! I can do that for you. Really, that is a real good looker and I hope you enjoy it. Maybe it will make it up to the Adks. this fall. Take care and good shooting....ron w

Great looking bow man!! How are ya hitting with it??

Just got done shooting it. Draws smooth, shoots fast and surprisingly quiet. Possibly the quietest bow I have. A lot of bow for the money! :goldtooth:
-
Super Taipan. James sure makes some lookers and they shoot great too!
-
That has to be one of the finest looking bows I have seen, incredible workmanship.

Brian, sweet bow !!!

Wow Brian, that is one stunning looking longbow. How's she shoot?

I really love these forward handled bows. They are really smooth and just as fast as my other bows at least(not scientific). What strikes me is how quiet the bow is. Even without silencers.
I've had at least 20 bows and this one really blows me away. I let him make what he wanted to make. The only thing I knew was that it was going to have a yew core. Being artistic myself, I knew enough to let the man do his thing and you are seeing the result of his inspiration. :bigsmyl:

Very nice! Can I ask you what the brace height is?

James is a true craftsman. Beautiful bow.
