Well......I ordered one of EACH !!!
Bill is making me a tulip-wood and ebony riser with foam and carbon limbs and tulip-wood veneers on 'em.
Rick is making me an all (stained) birdseye maple with carbon limbs also.
The Dakota should arrive sometime in the July/August timeframe, and the Zipper should arrive in the October/November timeframe.
Until then, I'll just keep shootin' my Blackfeather.

Oh, you're killing me here. I've never been able to shoot a zipper, but will be shortly. I almost hope I don't like it, cause I really don't have the money for another bow!!!! Can't go wrong with Ricks bows either. I really miss mine. I think I'm going to get another one when I decide what I want him to make for me.
Jon,
That's the good thing about ordering your bow. Not only do you get to pick out the woods, but you have some time to get it paid for. There isn't any way that I could afford it either, if I had to pay in full up front.
Everytime that I see that picture of one of Bob Morrison's bows that was made out ebony and tulipwood, my keyboard takes three days to dry out from drool. So.......Bill is building me one, and I'm sure that it will be more than "drooling" material when he is finished.
I have noticed that the older I get, the quicker that time seems to pass.......not sure that is a good thing either. :scared:

I saw a picture of one of Bills SXTs that is in my opinion the prettiest bow I've ever seen. And I used to own a blacktail. Could have been the same one you are talking about. I've got an ebony habu with bacote limbs that is a looker too, but nothing like that one.

I know the Zipper bows well, very good bow. That Welch guy makes a pretty decent bow, I guess :biglaugh: . I talked to Rick just yesterday, & my Dakota Pro Hunter Recurve is soon to begin construction, can't wait. Share some video with us of both your new bows, & how well they shoot for ya, when you get them. Congrats on the new bows coming to ya, make great memories with them both!!!
Hi guys, newish to Tradgang, just ordered my first Dakota pro-hunter r/c from Rick. Spoke with him yesterday, what a nice guy! Have settled on a Bocote riser with bocote/carbon/clear glass limbs, should look awesome when built...only hitch is the build time, approx 7mths...still if I want a good new custom bow, gotta be patient I guess! Rick has just hired a retired cabinet maker to help him with the bow orders, hopefully will make the turnaround a little quicker. Here's hoping!!!!
MattR.....
I'm still waiting on my Dakota. I know that Rick has been one busy fella this year, and I am sure that the wait will be well worth it.
Bill said that my bow should be finished in the promised October/November time-frame.
