hello all, my wife just bought me a PMA II Black widow bow takedown recurve, 51 lbs at 28 inh draw and i was wondering what arrow would work the best. I would like to shoot a 125 grain tip. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks
Go to the 3 Rivers site, one of the sponsors. They have test kits so you can get the proper arrows for your bow weight and draw. They're arrow service will cut to your spec and add tips. Good Luck!

What is your actual draw length?
my actual draw is 28 inches
I would shoot a Carbon Express Traditional 150 with regular inserts and 125 tip.Start tuning full length and cut 1/4" at a time untill you reach proper spine.I would guess at about 30"-31" you will be very close.
That CX should be heavy enough without any additional weight. If you want a heavier shaft try a 50-100 grn brass insert.
Tune by OL's method.

Aluminum - 2018 cut to 29 in.
Wood - 65/70 cut to 29in.
These will be close and maybe a little stiff but if they are a little stiff you could go up in point weight to 145 - 160 grain .

With 125gr points I would try a 2016 cut to 29", I would probably cut it at 30" first and tune from there.
All of the above are good suggestions. I have a 60" 52@ 28" PSA, and I draw 28" also. You and I are shooting almost the exact same poundage. The only difference is I like 145gr. tips, because of my broadheads. I shoot Carbon Express Heritage 150's,2018's, and 65-70 spine cedars out of my Widow. All of them cut at 28 1/2". Like Brittman said: cut the aliminum and cedars at 29" and you should be good with 125gr. points. I'm thinking 29"-29 1/2" on the Carbons. But start long and cut them down until you get them right.

thanks for all the advice, I cant wait for the bow to be complete. I am shooting a greatree deer master right now. i suppose the widows performance should be a bit better then my other bow.
It might be better or not but you will have a great shooting all around bow with top notch warranty.
