Did some mud running today and drove out to the boondocks to shoot some arrows with Craig AKA Elbow this morning. Going to post a bunch of pics and let him explain. Can you identify all the sign?

Guess my gut did some growin over the winter!
Well fellas, these pictures were all taken on my property today, 100 acres in Hubbardton Vt. , Meadow is 1/4 mile in the woods behind the house, sapling was hooked by a VT buck last year, Moose and deer do share the same toilet facilities, deer remains are from the bones of a muzzleloader kill, bobact got into them, coyote leave scat too but seem to do it alone, apple trees were grown in with pines but I cleared them few years ago, the forked apple is a deer magnet, the muddy runway always leads to it and I am six feet five, a touch over 180lbs and that little hoytpro hunter looks like a toy!
Oh yea, forgot, that other one is a shot of me in my turkey blind, 21lbs bird three years ago at 5 feet [gun kill].
I think you hit the 1 instead of the 2 by mistake there bud. :D
Elbow didn't mention the tree stand about 3 pictures back! Funny how I always notice them things, I can pick them out way to easily anymore!
yep, that is my favorite spot in the world. Sacred.
its exactly 30 yards for that treestand to the large forked apple in the other pictue and the muddy runway is 15 yards.
Looks fun fellas.I really wanted to be there but duty called ( my road looks about like that deer trail).
We'll have to line up another.
Very cool, guys! Thanks for sharing!
Good stuff guys looks like a blast.Chris
Thanks for taking us along!!
Craig,is that a Kodiak or Grizz?
He's shooting a Hoyt
That is a Hoyt Pro hunter, 45lbs@ 28" 58" long, it was purchased new in 1976 by Steve Dechen, a Sheriff's deputy and he gave it to me for free. Shoots like a dream.
The green glass threw me off.

You have good taste in bows. I just bought one a month or so ago from Raineman, 50# and it shoots like a rocket.
yes it does, it is 58" though and I worry about my 31" draw hurting it, what do you think?
I'm only 5'9" and barely getting 28" so I couldn't tell you. I'd say if you're not getting excess finger pinch you should be OK. Just after I bought mine I came down with calcium tendinitis in my bow arm and haven't shot in 3.5 weeks including the Hoyt.
It will be my "go to" bow this fall I think although more exotic old Bears are on the rack providing I can get a cure for this problem.
I liked the Hoyt the minute I shot it for the first time.
