anyone have picture of their fox royal crown longbows? i'm ordering one next week and wanted to see some wood combinations. thanks guys!
Have you seen the Masters of the Barebow vol.3? Larry Yien is shooting that bow. His is carbon backed.
I saw some clips from it but i think he's shooting the triple crown. Both the royal crown and triple crown are pretty cool though
Sorry, you're right it is the triple crown backed with carbon.
This one is mine. Bolivian Rosewood and Myrtle Riser. Myrtle veneered limbs. 60" 55# @ 28"

Brian thats is a beauty, nice wood combo and some great looking limb veneers.
If you scroll down through my blog about 3 pictures, I've got a picture of my Royal Crown laying on top of my backpacking gear. Those arrows in the quiver aren't my hunting arrows, I put them in for weight while practicing. I was still trying to decide if I would use my arrowmaster or my bowquiver.
I do believe that the Royal Crown is one of the best bows Fox Archery makes!

Holy smokes Brian P.! Those are the exact wood combinations I was thinking of doing! I'm gonna have to think of something different so I don't copy you. Larry, What riser wood and veneer wood is on your bow? thanks for the info guys!
Hawk22,
I am sure I didnt originate the wood combo in my bow. Go ahead and order it if you like it. At least you get to see what it will look like before hand, I had to take an educated guess.
I wasnt disappointed when I recieved it. Ron told me it was a looker before he mailed it out. I have never seen Myrtle veneers quite like these.
That is a pretty RC you got there as well Larry. Looks like Bocote veneers. I almost went with bocote, but decided I wanted something a bit different this time.

I really like the triple crown and royal crowns from Fox archery. If I ever buy another longbow it would be one or the other. Mr Yien, your instruction in both the Masters videos were very helpful. Thank you for your insight.
