Any of you fellas used the 3-rivers Dura - glove?likes-dislikes?
I`ve been using a closed end glove like the Black Widow glove and after it gets a crease the release is sloppy. A tab is better but I don`t like them. I got one of the American Leathers gloves and its OK but the finger stalls are not deep enough and feels like its gonna pull off every shot.
What about the Skookum glove? thanks,RC.
I have been shooting one of the skookum gloves for the past year and really like it. Other than sweat lines you can't tell it's been used. Nice clean release.....
I use a dura glove and love it. Soft right out of the package, good feal of the string, slick release. Probably not the best for heavy lbs,or sensitive fingers but I like it on 60 and down bows
I love mine.
I used the old berlin deerskin for years and loved it, moved to the Skookum glove which I really like, but the didn't last long. I would wear them out pretty quick, but a really good glove none the less. I switched to the Dura glove when it first came out and found the best glove that I have ever had. The worst problem that I have with them (and I had the same problem with the Berlin deerskin and Skookum) is the first finger wants to twist but once broken in its fine. The Dura material is slick, very durable and great string feel. Awsome glove! dino
i had one, and it was very durable and soft and comfortable. no break in period to speak of, a dozen shots or so softens the cordura. the cordura tips are extremly durable, i put hundreds of shots through mine, and it looked new, and i sold it to a fellow tradganger. it is thin, and that is the reaosn i sold it, it made my fingers hurt. but if you shoot a light bow, or have tough fingers, this glove is awesome.
Didn't like it. The fingers were sewn incorrectly on the on I purchased.
The Dura-glove gives me a good feel of the string & a slick release.

I tried the dura glove and liked it very much. It has one of the smoothest and slickest releases i have found in all the gloves i have tried. The only down side and the reason i dont use it is the fingers are very thin, good for low poundage bows but with my bows (around 56#) my fingers start to hurt real quick. I wish they would build one using a super glove or somthing like that.
I wore Skookums out left and right! Switched to the Duraglove and love it! It is thin and I don't use it for a lot of shooting over 55lb or so, but it's a great glove otherwise!

I used to use a Damascus glove for years until I tried a Dura Glove. I'm sold on em' now.

I've purchased 2 Dura-gloves. I've been surprised....they both work well.......however.....I've got one that works really well and one that works.
I'd never have expected to notice the difference this dramatically. I think it's a great product and have two....but I do have a "preferred" one.

Very good glove for the money. I've been using my 3 Rivers dura glove for a little over a year now and it's holding up very well. I was using the Damascus glove. I can't get use to a tab or a thicker type glove. They do size a little small.
I used to shoot one. Still have it. Only reason I stopped using it is because my wife bought me a new one. And now I've started using a tab. I would definetely go back to it though. I love it.
I used damascus for years then tried a duraglove. Like it a lot and it lasts about 3 times longer. It's looking a little frayed after 20,000 plus shots out of 50# bows but still functions. Ive heard some complaints about size consistency but I had none.
I've shot damascus gloves too, and love them still, but I bought one of the dura-gloves and have been impressed with the "feel" I need and the slick release properties. I did notice that it is a bit small, size wise, in comparison with the damascus gloves I use. A good dousing with water and a shooting session seemed to help, though.
I shoot heavy bows, and I like to be able to "feel" the string and hate the groove that develops in the thicker gloves....this one seems to fit the bill, and I think it will last.
For those that shoot damascus or thinner gloves, and have a problem with them wearing out quickly, try using tie-on nock points on your string, rather than the metal kind, and your gloves will last WAY longer!

Just me, but I couldn't get used to the feel of the leather in my palm, so I made what is for me the perfect glove by simply carefully cutting the palm part of the glove off. Great consistent release, can't seem to wear it out, and feels great.
I got one and it says "Bear Paw" on it. is this the glove we're talking about??
I've noticed that the middle finger is twisting, but the release is smooth and I often forget I'm wearing it.
Thats the best feeling fido, is that you get so used to it that you forget that it is there. dino
