Could someone please tell me how the SXT riser from Zipper Bows compares to the Standard and the Extreme riser? I know.....kinda like me asking you to describe how a banana tastes huh? I have shot both the standard and the extreme riser and like very much how they feel.
I also know that a lot of it is going to depend on how large one's hand is......that being said, I used to wear a large shooting glove but have since switched over to shooting a tab.....which is a Cavalier large. I am going to have a Zipper of my own......very soon....hopefully within the next week. I currently have a Blackfeather and it feels very comfortable in my hand, perhaps a little to wide, if anything. I can shoot it very consistently without it turning in my hand.
I have discovered that I cannot shoot a small grip very consistently, and in reality I prefer a takedown to a one-piece, just for the ability to purchase new limbs without buying the whole bow. I have pretty much talked myself into the SXT, and have picked one out of Bill's stock bows.
What are your guys/gals opinions on my dilemma?

Go with your gut. I have big hands and have shot all three. SXT is my choice.
Shot the SXT at Kalamazoo and loved it. Grip fit me to a T and was very comfortable. Flint
I have large hands and my SXT fits me perfectly. Cannot compare it to the other two as I have never shot either.

I shot all 3 at Kalamazoo and went with the SXT. Mainly because I just shot it better. But, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. They all shoot good!!!
Bill
What Bill said, they all are sweet shooters.

I have shot all 3. I own 2 standards and have an SXT on order. I like how they all fit. The SXT just seems a little more comfortable.
When Bob Thompson was building them.I perfered the standard riser over the extreme.Bill as done a far better job on the grips of all his risers than Bob and feel you can't go wrong w/ any of them.
All 3 risers are incredible.I like the SXT's looks a lttle more than the Extreme but they both shoot like a dream.Thats a hard choice to make but Bill could explain how a banana tastes for sure.
Are you all using the wooden quivers on your zippers? I thought about ordering one, but Bill will not tap the riser for a standard kwikee quiver and I hate strap on quivers, and really don't like the looks of the wood quivers either (yes I know, I am very picky). Has anyone found a good limb bolt quiver to use with a zipper.
Just curious, why can't you get the kwikee quiver taps in it? If I were to go with a limb bolt quiver I'd go with a Thunderhorn Limb bolt small fry. You can get the leathers to match the woods of your bow or however you'd like it to look...Mike
Bill said that there isn't a good place to tap a zipper riser because it is not wide enough for his comfort in doing so-so they won't.
Makes sense, better to be safe than sorry...Mike
His quivers are far better in all aspect than a kwiki or any other bolt-on.I have them on all my bows.Including bows of different makes
You don't like the looks of the Zipper quivers? :saywhat:
No I don't like the looks of the quivers at all. I personally would not buy a zipper if I had to use one of those quivers.
I had shot a standard riser and just received an SXT today. I love the grip, it feels like it was custom fitted to my hand. I wear an X-large glove and it doesn't feel too small in my hands at all. I prefer the small risered bows over the standard bows in all take-downs. I think they look better, feel better and I like the lighter physical weight of the whole package.
