I read a long time back (I think it was on here) about building a homemade cresting motor setup using a sewing machine motor. I recently came into possession of one, but have no clue how to go about making the cresting jig.
Does anyone have one, or plans to make one that I can get access to? i would really like to build my own, instead of the cheap Bohning one that I have now. thanks, AA

Thanks Ray. The one I remember looking at used round wheels to rotate the arrow instead of a direct attachment to the motor shaft. It was suppose to dampen any slight wobble from the shaft resulting in smoother cresting lines.
I'd like to see that too because I have wobble on my home made job.
Here is a thread i started some time ago with a cresting machine i made with the planes that Ray refers to.

I sure would like to see what you come up with if you incorporate some wheels.

Try an old record player, you know the kind with the 3 speed adjustment, 45,etc. etc. I saw this in a mag along time ago. I have a serving machine with a sewing machine motor!
