Oldskool showed me a new way to practice for rabbits. Basically he gave me a purple sponge ball about the size of a raquette ball.
Kick it across the yard and let the arrow fly. I bet I shot about 20 or 30 times before I finally hit it the first time.
It's something different and sure is fun.
Blunts of some sort will allow a lot of hits before the ball gets torn up provided you shoot purple rabbits better than I do.
I was in the yard with a friend just yesterday doing something similar. We used a crab pot float and judos. It gets torn up pretty easily but as often as we didn't hit it, it lasted. He hit it more than I did, but I tell ya what, when you smack that thing it sure feels good. Tennis balls work great too. A little smaller, but also make for good practice on sitting bunnies.
Hey Pac, when Raven,Buckeyehunter and I go stumpin'on the way back to the truck we throw one of those balls out in the field and shoot at them and have more fun chasing that thing around than anything. We usually get phone calls from our wives wanting to know why we aren't home yet cause we lose track of time. Just can't quit
I like the "Nerf" foot balls, Chuck them out there and shoot them where they lay.
I'm shooting them as they roll and bounce across the yard. Just when you think you have it lined up it hits a dandilion and bounces the oppisite way.
You have to kick it pretty hard then draw and shoot before it stops.
