Title: Texas 3d-shoot?
Post by: crumrw on March 29, 2009, 12:38:00 PM
Does anyone know of any 3d trad shoots in Texas?  More specifically in the Austin or Dallas area.  I've been shooting down the hall in my apartment, but would really like to get out and try something a bit harder.

Thanks,
Rick

There is a website called Tx3dshooters.com (or something like that) that lists all of the 3d shoots in texas.  You can also go to the traditional bowhunters of texas (TBOT) website for their shoot schedule -- I think there are quite a few shoots in the Dallas and Austin area.  In particular, there is a big shoot callled the hill country shootout around April 18 at Vanderpool texas

Camp Bullis in San Antonio has one almost every month at the end of each month. Lots of traditional shooters goe there. Next one is on April 25-26. I believe start time is around 9:00 am. 30 targets and lots of fun.

Good luck

Gilbert

Vanderpool at the Bugscuffle ranch in mid March,  Chester Stick Bow Roundup the week before Memorial Day,  State Longbow Championship in Ft. Worth Memorial day weekend, and Texas Traditiona Championship in July.  Also, in August, not sure of date, great trad shoot in Mcallister Ok.
