Title: Faces behind the handle! 2009

We have alot of new tradgangers here and some that have been here a long time. I have talked with quite a few of you and some I have'nt met yet. I just wanted to see some pics of the people behind the handle. I would prefer to see some pics of you shooting a bow or holding a bow, maybe a hunting trip you went on or 3-D shoot you've been too, but any pic will do.

Here's what just might be the best shot I've ever made... Bow was "Lemonade", a 17# longbow that didn't even have finish on it yet at this shoot.  There's a teeny, tiny yellow dot just above the front leg...

This is the first picture I could find of me with a bow, I think I was 10 or 11, I'm a whole lot taller now. Sorry its not a trad bow, (its a genesis I think.) Anyway, I'm the young one holding the bow, that picture was taking at the 4-H state shoot if I remember correctly. It consisted of all types of shootin bow.

Those are some great hunting pics guys! JimB I love those pronghorns. I lived in Wyoming for 11 years growing up and saw my fair share of those. Come on guy's keep those pics comin. With over 19,000 members surely we have a few more. Any pic will do. If you post a pic with a bow make sure it's a traditional bow. Thanks guy's!   :thumbsup:

My oldest(12) and youngest(6) daughters an nephew (9) at a youth league shoot.  My oldest daughter and nephew are shooting longbows that I made for them.  

 

My youngest daughter with my very first attempt at a bow before it was finished.  It turned out way too light (only about 5#), but she has fun with it.

Here I am doing what I enjoy most.  The second photo was a monster hog that I stalked to within 10 yards of before making a perfect shot.  He didn't flinch, because he was already dead!  :)

Killy, thats just not fair! How can I comment that without getting into trouble - either way    :rolleyes:       :smileystooges:  

Okay! I say this: No, not true! Its only caused by the bad lighting, the hard contrasts, the lack of color and of corse my old camera. And on top of all that you must count the shrinking to 600px width also. Its only an optical illusion!

Oh! I have trophy pic!!! I was in Platte Canyon, CO on my way to Denver from Pagosa Springs and I caught the fish I was looking for the whole time. My buddy came over and this fish was throwing me around!?!? I told him to get my camera and take a pic! Right when he turned around, I "Body Slamed" the fish and he slapped me with his TAIL. Thank God the camera got there in time................I had him just where I wanted before I threw him back and told him.........."I thought you'd be bigger?"

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I've been bowhunting now for 4 seasons.  To date, I've been out with the traditional gear <10 times.....and I haven't scored with it, yet.

Having taken 22 big gme animals oer the last three seasons with a compound, I can tell you that not many things leave me awestruck in hunting.  

I looked through all 9 pages of these photos, just now, and I AM awestruck.  Kudos to all of you who've shared.

I made the leap to devote my entire 2009-2010 whitetail seasons to traditional tackle.  I hope to add my own harvest photo to yours in the coming months.
