I got my copy and have to say it's one of the best trad DVD's out there.
There is never a dull moment with 90 minutes of awesome wildlife scenery, great trad kills on camera, and entertaining dialog with Steve, Fred and Chris.
You will definitely learn something as you are being entertained.
Looks like i'll have to have a looksee at this one too...
ak.
I got my copy from Steve. He put together a great video. The footage he has is awesome. I was lucky enough to have a small part in the video. I learned a lot from Steve and Fred and I hope to be able to put a video out half as good as this one in the near future. Steve and Fred are extremely funny together you will be entertained through the whole movie. Chris.
I have a copy and it's great.
ttt
Yes Chris, Fred and Steve are great together , really shows what the fun of archery and good time with close friends is all about.
Chris is being to humble here , he is a major part of it as well , great job Chris you guys made a sure fire classic.
All the orders that were placed last week are on the way so we should have some more reports in soon.
Can't wait to see it! We're starving out here for good trad hunting videos!
Thanks Ted, Steve is just good he can make anyone look good. Are you going to come up to the Moses lake shoot, we have missed you the last few years. Take care, Chris.
I really enjoyed it. Down to earth, straight forward, old fashioned fun.
Paul
Yes Paul very down to earth and fun , we need more videos like this out there.
Chris, probably not this year , getting ready for guiding spring bear hunters, I do miss that shoot however, good times in the WA desert.
Ted, Where are you guiding? I have a hunt planned in May in Idaho with a friend of mine. I haven't hunted bear over bait for over 10 years. I am really looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather in Moses Lake will be good this year. Good luck guiding. Chris.
Thanks Ted, I got mine yesterday and sat right down and watched it. Really enjoyed it. You see and hear so little, from or about, Steve Gorr that its nice to learn more about him and see him shoot.I remember an article, years ago that I read in "Archery World" by Steve about his hunting big whitetails and meeting Paul Schafer. If I remember right he killed his first big buck hunting with Shaf.
I also like seeing Steve hunting without any fancy camo...the stalk on the mulie that he shoots at 10 yards and goes down ASAP is something to see. Get a copy, you'll enjoy it.
Glad you enjoyed it John , Yes on that mulie buck ,it looked to me as he was going to shoot a frog in the cattails and up pops that buck WOW!
Chris , I have worked for several years with Gary Haight of Weitas creek outfitters, a better man to hunt bears with you wont find, the area we guide in is the beautiful unit 10 in the Clearwater area ( 2 bear unit).
Anyway back to the subject at hand, I recommend everyone to see this film , a real treasure.
Steve Gorr is a remarkably accomplished bowhunter that has been hunting with trad gear for 50 years.
His story is not widely known, and this DVD will give you a good picture of one of our best trad bowhunters.

More people should have the video by now. Let's hear some comments.
I have heard of Steve and Fred for years, and I had to order this DVD and I am glad I did, I think Steve hunted with Paul Schafer before his death. You are looking at two of the legends of this sport. Doug Hill
Yohon, The title of the old whitetail story by Steve Gorr was "Winner, and still champ", I believe. I remember it well. Steve's a great guy,and a remarkable shot.
I remember an article by Steve titled, "The Value of Instinct". Wish I still had a copy of that!
I just finished watching this DVD. What a great video! I've seen so many that are "okay". This is my new favorite for sure!

An instant classic in my collection.. Other than Bowhunting Oct. Whitetails I this is my new favorite.

Get this video, If you dont you are missing out on the best one out there yet!!!!
The production quality is outstanding and good footage of the kill shots. Nicely done.
It's just a GREAT DVD--no complaints except I can do without the Africa stuff, always. Photography is great, skills well displayed, even the music is good.
