In my front yard!! My wife called me Monday morning to let me know that there were 40, yes 40 turkeys in the front yard! And I live in town!

I'll be up! My daughter lives in Blair. What part of town is this?
Two Arrows, are those Easterns on Merriams? We only have easterns here so I love the white tips on the Merriams tails.

AAHH, you gotta make a sport of it, at least set up in the neighbors yard and try to call em' over to ya.
It would be more sporting-and a lot more fun to watch-if you climbed one of those cedar trees and just jumped out and grabbed a gobbler!!!
Man oh man....
thanks for sharing!
Eric, head on up! I'm in the west central part of town.
TJ, mainly Merriams around here.
Hey Doug, my yard looks like that many times. I had a 5x5 buck that would go about 150" in my yard a bunch of times this fall. Most of the times he was eating apples but one time he was chasing does right across the yard. Since I am out of town I do not think it would be illegal for me to shoot the turkeys or the deer with my bow BUT it just wouldn't seem like hunting to me.
Never pass up a chance to harvest game that walks up to your door! Seems like they're asking for it!!!
Hey Dan, need your address so I know where to put my treestand!! You're right though, it just wouldn't be right and it wouldn't be really hunting.
NCalihunter, I have an elderly neighbor lady who is meaner than a scalded wolverine! She knows all that goes on in the neighborhood. She would have my hide if I even thought about it. I think I'll stick to shooting them with my camera for my sake and the turkeys.
Doug, if you still live in the same house you have a perfect downhill shot on those suckers man- tell ya what we'll take turns distracting the old coot next door. Good luck this year, some of us will have to work a little harder I guess to get a bird, let me know how you do.

Good photos. I have been hunting turkeys for several years in Neb. but I might have reached the end of the run. The Neb. turkey (out of state) tags are just getting crazy. Just checked and they are $107 w/ habitat stamp. Just how much does Neb. think those turkeys are worth?????
MO is up to $145 for non-res, and worth it!
I think Kansas is about $120 but they got a short archery only season before the shotgun season so that would be cool.

My wife and I spent all day scouting for turkeys. We didn't see any until we drove back through town. Maybe I could build a blind in the tree in front of this house.
