What are the hooks called? I've been trying to find these to make a couple of armguards and can't for the life of me think what they are called.
Dang it's a bugger getting old. LOL

Mike ,
Don't feel bad, I can't remember what they call them either. The last time I got some was from the boot repair shop in Bozeman, Check the local boot shop, but I guess most Texans don't lace up their boots so they might not have them. :biglaugh: It take a special punch and gromet (sp) spreader to fit them properly too.
Speed laces?
Like on your Danners.
Killdeer
speed lacer as killdeer said or hook-eye
good luck,

Wingnut, I've made a couple of armguards using buttons that are made out of fake antler sections. Those work pretty well.
Since Mike ( Mikes Archery Leather) made me one, I use it. Frank

I bought some at the local Veach's Saddlery. They were in a tiny plastic ziploc baggie with Tandy logo on it. A boot repair shop, saddlery, Tandy leather or Leather Factory store are all good places to look.
I've always bought them as 'Ski-boot hooks'
The speedlace eyelets are a little different.
However, YMMV.
:D
I've got some I use for armguards... believe they are called Alaskan hooks. I'll check the box tomorrow and get back to you.
Thanks Charlie!
Mike
I too, would like to know where you can get some and a setter. I've been through the Tandy/Leather Factory site several times w/no luck.

Mike... sorry for making you wait. I got my hooks and hook setting machine from this company a long time ago. Hope it helps.
