Good morning Folks! Just curious as to which Back Quivers you Good Folks are using and why? What's an all around good one for Hunting and 3-D ? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated. bentpole ...>>>~~~~~>
im using a 20 1/2 wyandotte back quiver ,came as a kit you assemble. i like it ok just wish it was about 5 1/2" longer
I'm still using my Badger-skin covered one a friend made for me 15 years ago. Gonna have to replace the leather lacings this year.
Found a pic of it.

I really like my Arrow Master.
I prefer a side quiver, but when I use a back quiver for the capacity, it is an old (1950's-60's?) Ben Pearson with a storage pocket in front--because it is cool and old and still in good enough shape to use!
RonP
I use a Hill style (kinda) back quiver for squirrel, bunny, stump and 3d shooting. I use a Arrow Master for other hunting. I also use a bow mounted quiver on occasion, depending on need.
ChuckC
I usually use a GFA for deer hunting, but I think LaClair just re-introduced the back quiver I've been lookin' for. The Shrew back quiver looks pretty sweet, I can see one of them on my back in the near future.
Eric
Anyone use a Jack Bowers Stealth Quiver?
Stiffrod...looks like your planning to do some serious shooting this fall.... Here is my Creger quiver, the one I used on our last Jersey Boy hunt.
Roll it up for travel, unroll it for hunting. 8 oz Vegetable leather.....or use a Catquiver 3.5...

AAHHHH YES Joe I remember that quiver. That's the one that got me thinkin' about these back quivers for huntin' and such. :scared: :saywhat:
Bentpole- I had a J B quiver, nice, but hard to get a hold of a particular arrow. Just didnt work as well as I thought it would.
Eric
I like the shrew mantis/adcock quiver . It can be worn on your back , side , or in front . To me it is the all around perfect hunting quiver.

James beauty! Home made?
Yea, shes made from an old tanned deer hide i had! it's my small game and stumping bag for well after deer season is over!! thank you!! Jim
I use a lot of different quivers, but my favorite back quiver is one that I bought from Mike's Archery Leather.

Flexible, comfortable, tough, and looks great with the Arapaho.

I have been using Jack Bower's THE CHIEF (which is similar to the STEALTH) for the past 3 years and I used a home-made side quiver for years before getting THE CHIEF as a gift.
It is a well-made quiver for the range or for hunting and gets the job done even in heavy cover with rain and snow. I have been able to use whatever beltpack or backpack that I choose with it.
I usually carry 4 Grizzly 190 tipped arrows, but have managed 6 on longer than one day outings. It is quite easy to replace the foam in the hood. Dean Torges convinced me that vaseline was the solution for keeping the broadheads from oxidizing by working the vaseline into the slots that hold the broadheads.
BTW - I do have a brass belt buckle situated in the bottom of mine like Jack recommends....
Shoot straight, Shinken
Lots of nice quivers. Another way to show your own style. I use a GFA for deer hunting. I really like the way I can move it around from back to front while skulking around. I have a plain leather back quiver for misc. other shooting.
Tom I really like my Cat II quiver for deer hunting. My basket quiver Jerry made for me I like for 3-D shoots and small game hunting.
My little one was lucky enough to be the Valentine give away winner. The bow Mike sent and the back quiver/armguard Mike at Mikes ARchery Leather made, well.
They are priceless. As far as a back quiver, the quality of the MAL's product was "Un Real"...
That would be my first call... Old Trad "Bentpole".
I just bought a Keyes Hunting Gear quiver pack and it is the cats _ _ _ !I cant wait to hunt with it and it has been a pleasure to stump shoot with.My fave is still my back quiver I made from bison hide.
Here is my new one from M.A.L. It will now be my primary quiver for all events.

Killdeer, is that the size small hunter series quiver? It's really nice lookin eh
I also use one (soon two) from Mike G ("Mike's Archery Leather").
Killy and TW awesome quivers. I have admired Mike handy work for a while now. Izzy can you post a picture of it? Shinken I really like the looks of that Jack Bowers Stealth Model. I saw it on Suzanne St. Charles's web-site . Thanks for the heads up on it.Larry I like you Cat Quiver too Joe Skipp and Southpaw use them too.I'm trying to find one, a good one I can use for all around usage. Mitch your daughters quiver will last her a long time for sure. Ben another vote for Mike's quiver too I see. Anyone else?
I just shot my first 3D (3/21) with my new arrowmaster.
Tough to beat.

MAY THE SPIRIT OF FRED BEAR GUIDE OUR ARROWS.
I use some thing like this (always changing because I keep making new ones) for 3-d and small game.

Stiffrod....have Bucky hold all your arrows and carry him around piggy back style....that should work....
Joe, that's a great idea!!! :saywhat: :clapper: :goldtooth: :biglaugh:
Here's a Wyandotte quiver I made from a kit back in the mid to late '90s, using only one hand! I had an accident at work and was all bandaged up on my left hand and put this thing together with some added "bling" to it. Kept me occupied, since I couldn't shoot my bow at the time. (Although some would argue that I still can't shoot a bow!)
