Post by: cnorth on March 19, 2009, 11:39:00 PM
Having a hard time with my carbons and tuning.  Thought about trying some aluminums, but need some help on selection .  I am shooting 51 lbs @ 28.  My DL is right at 28 give or take a .25. I have some magnus 125 gr 2 blade that I was going to shoot.

Need more info about your bow. i.e.-Recurve or longbow? Cut to Center or not? Dacron or FF string? String silencers?

Just a guess, but you probably will be close to 2016s or similar spine.

52# Marriah Chinook 29" 1916 with 125 Eskimo's from zwickey. Also 125 woodsmans fly great.
I also draw 28".

I would try the 1916's as stated above or 2016's. you will have to play with the length to get them "just right" but either should work fine. The 2016's would give you a little more weight.
