I have just started back into archery.....this time traditional.
I am going to be making my own arrows but was wondering about the Bitzenburger jig. I am shooting RW fletched arrows. I dont' think they are helical, but have a slight offset. Does the Bitz with a straight clamp have the ability to use a slight offset??
Thanks in advance.
Paul
yup no prob for the bitz awesome jig two knobs easy adjusment for any offset you want now problem
I prefer the helical clamp Paul, but you can fletch offset with the Bitz. Because the clamp is straight and the shaft is round, you are limited in the practical amount of offset you can use. A helical clamp will allow the feather to lay on the shaft nicer, but either way works.
Thanks guys.....
Fletcher....good point.

Do you need to change the indexer if you switch from straight to helical?
You don't need to change, but left helical does clock a bit nicer with the left indexer. There isn't much difference. I find right helical works fine with the standard indexer.
