Title: stumpin with new flat bow
Post by: 2treks on March 18, 2009, 09:21:00 AM
I got out of the shop and took my new flatbow design out for some "field trials". Passed with flying colors.
This was what I worked on this winter and so far it is an awesome bow. When I get it closer to done I will post it up here to show and tell you about it.                                 (http://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt12/twotracks/P1000329.jpg)

I just did some flight shooting at lunch time and I put a 450gn arrow a few steps past 300yds. Not bad eh? It is kind of hard to see but just to the left of the top limb, in the first pic up top, is a nice buck rub. This pic is from this morning.
I am happy with this bow, It is very Quiet, smooth(dead in the hand) and sends an arrow to the mark with authority.

Chester, how is the bow making coming along? Need anything?
Drew, You can't be more than a bow shot away, stop over and test it out for me.

This is another pic of my 50" Ambush and the new flat bow on some osage logs outside my shop. Mike pyeatt and I picked up the osage a few weeks ago. The flatbow is a 62" version,42#@28". The Ambush is 50", 54#@28". I pull 30"+(most of the time).
Thanks, Chuck

I have not done anything to the bow yet. Still trying to figure out what I will be doing. Hopefully soon.
