I've been out watching 'em. They were strutting big time the other day. All on private property that I can't hunt. Oh well. I'll keep trying. Guess I can take my camera.

Sat in my blind for two hours yesterday morning, in a fog bank. It didn't lift until I had to leave, and no turkeys sounded off. I did find some fresh tracks. This morning is foggy again, so maybe I'll try a later hunt. I should have a gobbler or two on my place within a week or two, when the gobblers have spread out to stake out their area. I think the big flocks haven't finished busting up yet.

Unless work picks up, I might be hunting them the whole season!     :archer:

Caught this fella showing off in front of my trailcam a week or so ago...

Still a long way off in Pa. Everyone has them call shy by the time season opens, I scare a few myself if they are too stupid.  :coffee:

only a couple of weeks away here. I did go by the property and didn't see any which is VERY odd. We ususally see several flocks around the area.

About 3.5 weeks away here in Iowa.  Seeing quite a few birds and hearing quite a few too.  Leave to hunt Osceolas in Florida's North Zone next Thursday.  My buddy has been telling me the birds are tearin' it up down there on his place.

Season starts 4/13 in NJ.  I went out Sunday morning to scout one of my spots and there were at least 30 toms strutting.  No kidding.  I have never seen anything like it.

I didn't bring a camera but I will later this week.  Hopefully they haven't broken up by the time I get back out there.

It's going to be a good season.  I can't wait.

Early bow season starts in a week here in NE (4/25).  My good deer spots don't really have turkeys for some odd reason (the rest of NE seems to be overrun with them if you believe the hype).  This is my first spring in well over 30 years that I will not either be participating in or coaching track, so I'm hoping to get out more than I usually do.

3 1/2 weeks and counting .... snow is still deep where we hunt in NE Washington but I saw a fair number of birds out when I was over there two weeks ago. We have had two tough winters in a row with deep snow in December that stayed all winter and into spring. I saw alot of winter kill deer.
