where do you people get your flu flu fletching to fletch your own arrows with? haven a hard time finding any thanx
As far as I know, they use full length feathers cut to whatever length they want the fletch.
Spiral fletching is easy and works well...just a full length feather wrapped around the shaft. Look for Guru's tutorial.
I use full length feathers cut to 4" & fletch four of them on an arrow they work great. Sometimes I will trim the back of the feather if it interfers with my nocking the arrow. Frank
You can use full length and you might get two 4" section per feather or if you like 3Rivers sells 4" cut sections by the dozen or 100.
thanx guys another question sould one fletch the same way as hunting arrows or is 4 flectched straight the way to go or keep it three helical right like my hunting arrows?
I used 1 full length feather in a spiral wrap. Cheap, not too hard to learn, slows down better than the big 4 or 6 fletch.
you have any pics fletcher? would like to know more never heard fo this style before
I use some 3 fletch 4" helical, but prefer 4fletch 4"helical

4 fletch helical works for me. I tried the sprial method and the results were, shall we say, less than optimal. I am speaking of my fletching skills, not the flight characteristics.
I like the spiral fletch. Has had great results for me. I usually use wing or tail feathers I find from turkeys when I walking around in the woods.
