Title: New Sponsor: "My Next Bow" Consulting Service
Post by: Ghost Dog on January 04, 2007, 10:58:00 AM
Hey Gang,

I am a bow nut, period. I fall asleep at night thinking about bows, and I often wake up thinking about bows. Over several years I have collected bows from a considerable segment of the bowyers of North America, and in many cases have had long and interesting conversations about bow design.

As a result of my posts on Trad Gang and an earlier message board, over a 7 year period I have been contacted by many guys looking for their next bow. In all cases these guys ended up with bows that fulfilled their needs and hopes, and we had a lot of fun in the process.

I would like to extend this service to all of you. Please click on the link below and read the introduction to "My Next Bow".

Thanks for sponsoring Trad Gang Bob....always enjoyed your posts over the years...always very informative.

And after talking to you on the phone, you raised many questions I never even thought of when concidering a new bow.

i am one of the many who has used bob's services over the years...four years ago, he took SO much time with me via email.  i was brand new to longbows, and with his guidance i purchased a longbow from dave dwyer...still the most enjoyable glass/wood bow i have shot.  i loved talking to dave, and he laughed aloud when i mentioned bob's name.  dave said bob was one of the great supporters of our passion and was responsible for several new ideas in his bow line.

thanks, ghostdog!

Bob,

I always thought you should write a book about your experiences with North Americas and Canadas bowyers and their products. However, this inniative of yours is in my opinion an excellent way to reach out to traditional archers who hasn't the vast experience and knowledge of yours. I'm sure that with your consultation they can't go wrong like of some of us do before we finally find and get our "dream bow".

I'm still greatful that you, in my case, adviced me to bowyers like JD Jones and the Dwyers that both made me functional and great performing pieces of art!

Good Luck and thanks!

/ Paul

I have owned two bows that had Bob Moon's name on them.  One was a 66" Massie Longhorn that I wish I had kept.  At the time a thought I couldn't work with a bow that long.  Looking back on it now, it was one of the smoothest bows I have ever shot.
Good luck in your venture Bob!!

Hey Paul, better email me soon, I have another bow recommendation for you.   ;)

Chris, I wish I still had that bow! It was a sort of proto-type from Jeff, and I did not appreciate the bow enough at the time. I am happy to say I have only made that mistake twice!
