Title: nother spine?

Most all my bows are cut to or past center. Got me a new to me one thats cut 1/8 from center. My ? is how much weaker spine is required on this type bow? It's giving me fits!!

Use this spine calculator. It will get you real close

Davey, check the spine chart at Badger Arrows.  That chart will put you right on.

What's your new bows specs?  What brand, is it a straight longbow, R/D, hybrid or recurve?

How about the string material? That makes a difference too.

Then, we'll need your draw length, arrow length and desired point weight?

If the charts mentioned above don't get you close, with the above info we should be able to get you in the ballpark where you can have the right spine arrow and vary the shaft length or point weight a bit and get it dialed in.

3-piece Horne Brushbow,55@30, FF string cut 1/8th before center. My draw is 30". Looking to shoot a 31" carbon. I have a bunch of 50gr. and 100gr. inserts. Would like if possible to use 200gr. heads as I have a bunch of those to.

Using the above spine calculator, your bow will need no more then a 55.8 dynamic spine arrow.

A possible combo that looks good is a .340 carbon, 31", with a 50 gr insert and 200 gr. pt.

That is a 55.4 dynamic spine with a 21.2 % FOC.
