Let's see those griffin's! Also if anyone would care to share the model and why they chose that model. How much are these things new and what is the wait time. Just trying to get some ideas before I call John!
Thanks!
Wait is about 2 years. I got on the list last month, only 23 months to go. I am not sure of the prices and in 2 years I am sure it will be different. How are you liking that Shrew?
Hey Bud,
I love it, how much was yours when you ordered it? What options do they give you!
Thanks
Does he have an email address?
Does Griffin have a website?
I don't think so, I have searched all over and can't find one!
No, he dosn't have a website. When your name comes up he will call you and see what you want. He dosn't even take your order now, just puts your name on the list. Prices now were around 600 and up depending on what you wanted. Think the Gnat was like 450.00. You will just have to call him. I am still looking for a Shrew but I figured in two years I might want another bow so I got on the list.
So he is about $50 cheaper then the shrew? I guess for $50 i would support the guys who support this site, unless John is associated with site somehow!
Here is mine. Just got it in the mail today. 64" 55# @ 29". Very smooth and silent.

Hey Pat,, Looks like ya got the "skinny" string also,, you're gonna Love that Bow !!
Went over and shot it over lunch. My axis 400 fly good with 175 grain field tips. Tolerable with the 340 and 200-250 up front. By far the quietest bow that I have and really zips them out for the weight.
QuoteThose look very nice. They look identical to the shrews, even the limb tips are the same.
Here's an excerpt from "The Shrew Story" http://www.shrewbows.com/super_story.htm#shrewstory
QuoteIn 1995 I ask John McCullough whom I had known for several years if he would like to help make my Shrew bows. At the time John was making fine self bows and Grumley replicas. I had an idea for a bow that I wanted to call the "Super Shrew". The Super Shrew would have the same concept as the original Shrew with it's forward handle to help eliminate torque and stack in a shorter bow. I also wanted a molded grip with a palm swell and a thumb ridge, an ergonomic design and I instructed John in this design.
That's why the Griffen bows are like the Shrews bows. :readit:
