Title: Thanks Ric for a Classic (Pics)
Post by: Tater on March 10, 2009, 05:29:00 PM
I just picked this beauty up at the Post Office this afternoon, and after a 15 month wait I must say it was worth every minute.
Bocote and Osage, Bamboo core with Ric's trademark Elk Antler tips and Elk Antler overlay on the belly.
I wanted to share a few pics of a truly classic Longbow and say a big thanks to Ric Anderson. The pictures don't do it justice the workmanship and finish is flawless.
     Enjoy, Pat

Ric who? That's a very nice bow. If one wanted to inquire with the bowyer about his work, how would one go about doing that?

Thanks everyone, I had to run out to the garage and shoot a couple of arrows, the wind is gusting to 40mph+ here (figures).

    Wannabe1,
Ric Anderson - Marriah Custom Bows in Whitefish Montana. He has a website I will get the address for you if you are interested.
Do a search on here for Marriah bows and look at some of Ric's other work.

Tater, congrats on your new bow. It's a beauty. Ric is truly an artisan. He made a Chinook for me last year and I love that bow.

Pat if your running out of room to store your bows, I could squeeze in that 56" classic. That is a fine looking long longbow.

Beautiful bow Pat. I received my Chinook two days ago. Ric said he was sending out a couple others. They are smooth shooters for sure. Good luck with it. Mike

Pat.

I have an order in with Ric for a Marriah Thermal, Macassar Ebony and Bocote riser, with whatever he wants for accents, and Yew limbs, once again, whatever Ric wants to do for accents.

Joe,

I've sold 3 within the past 10 days, a RER T/D recurve, a Dale Stahl T/D recurve and a Dale Dye T/D recurve.  I sold them so I could buy the RER Arroyo and the RER standard T/D recurve for which I've started separate threads.  Where was you?  I was waiting for some of them to sell and dropped prices a bit lower than I would have liked.     :)    :D

That's a beauty of a bow!  Ric's work is beautiful...I've got three of his bows and each of them has killed critters for me.  Good Marriah Mojo for sure!

Again thanks everyone for the nice comments, Ric's work is exceptional.

Bill that sounds like a real beauty can't wait to see the pics.

I actually got to shoot it yesterday afternoon when the wind wasn't blowing 40mph. It spits a 60-65 Doug Fir Arrow 575gr with authority.
