OK.....I know its early...but we do this early cause it will be here before you know it...and my life is an absolute whirlwind at the moment so I'm gonna get this started while I have a momment....And...we'll be listing items starting 3 weeks before the auction starts...and Doug and I gotta hash out some stuff, and Rob and I gotta get the back up server hooked up so we can have smooth endings like last year without worry of the crashes of 07 and 06's endings.
We usually do the auction in June...around the 1st week....
If there are any shoots or group hunts in June, please list the dates here on this thread so we can plan around any conflicts.
I'll also leave ya with a little 'news' I heard from some New Zealand 'investors' making a run this year for Kim's Cookies....

I think Cloverdale is the first weekend in June.
A few of us are bear huntin in June, but I'm sure we can work otu something to follow bids for St. Judes.
Cloverdale is the second weekend in June, the 12th, 13th and 14th. Can't wait for Biggie to make his cookie video....dressed up like those New Zealand "investors" and singing the same tune. :bigsmyl:

For this years auction I'll take one for the team and talk my wife Jeanette into baking cookies. These cookies are unlike any you have ever tasted. I want you guys to know how big of a sacrifice this is on my part as I have to talk to her and you know she'll want something in trade LOL :goldtooth: :goldtooth:
OK...last year's auction ...ALL 4 bid forums started on May 27th...and ended in order of June 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Looks like that's what we may do this year....
Keep it comming .....
We also started listing items on May 6th!!!!
I told ya it was just around the corner!!! Glad I had time to get this done today as it would have snuck up on me!
Them Maori's have been trying to scare people for years with the Haka. The All Black rugby team tries every game to scare the oposition. Doesn't work with us Aussie's but may work with American's.
:goldtooth: :goldtooth:
Thanks alot, Rabbitman. I'm gonna have nightmares about that!
COOOOKEEEEE!!! :bigsmyl:
I think the name of that tune their singin is
"We Surrender ALL" :goldtooth:
Up for another run.....
I vote for same method as last year, start on May 26th (Tuesday), and end the following Sunday-Tuesday 5/31, 6/1,2,3.
It'll be that or real close to that Greg.
Anybody got any "special" donations we need to start planning for ;)
Thanks a bunch everybody here that helps make this such a special event every year!!!
Terry,
Bear Quest III is JUNE (leave my house early evening 12th) 13-27 (return home LATE eve 27th).
Thanks
Tom
Doug,
How bout another Shrew custom made to winners specs, no wait? :coffee:
:bigsmyl:
SAME TIME SOUNDS GOOD TO US....We've got a few "special items" that should be great ;) ...We can't wait...... :bigsmyl:
I will be looking for a knife by Skyler...if I can bid that high!
And I can guarantee you'll have to bid high Gregg ;) One day I hope to own my own Sky knife :wavey: ;)
OK...looks like we will be using the same DATES as last year...and will end forum 4 on Thursday instead of Wed.
Up again....any big shoots or group hunts the 1st week in june?
I've been busy making "things" for this. I have been looking forward to doing what I can for those kids. Thanks for doing this on Tradgang...and let the fun begin!
Terry, after looking at the "cookie challengers" whoever puts up some cookies better make them good and lots of them! Those boys look like they are serious and can eat! :biglaugh:
David, you obviously ain't met me and Biggie!! :scared:
One more time before we finalize it.... ;)
YEA....And they're the LIGHT WEIGHT Team (http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d171/IronBull_/Smileys/tongue.gif)
might be a Habu something or other floating around looking for a few kids to help out.... :saywhat:
FYI, Michael and I had a corporate meeting at the St Judes hunt in Florida and have solidified our position to remain the St Judes Cookie Kings.
Our company is fiscaly sound and investment capitol is abundant.
Beware, small time investors......
Biggie, you better watch posting the fact that your co. is fiscaly sound, your home might get invaded by media and your "Bonus" (cookies) taxed 90%.
If the Maori's want some of Miss Kim's cookies, all they've got to do is invite me over to hunt and chase their trout...I'll bring all the airline will let me haul!
And as far as cookie challengers, there will probably be some new competition in the cookie supply this year. I've personally sampled the hand crafted cookies by Woody's very talented daughter and if we can convince her to bake up some, the feller that wins them will most certainly form his own corporation to defend them. Heck, I may even have to do that myself....house divided? :biglaugh:
JC That sounds dangerously close to insider trading. Even Martha Stewart got time for that.
4runr....good point. I see that Mr Obama is already gonna fix it where our St Judes donations will only be deductable up to 28%.
I know we'd do it tax deduction or not but I wonder how much they'll be short this year because of stuff like that.
Biggie, it's only "insider trading" up yonder on Wall Street. I'm safe as long as I stay below the Mason/Dixon line. Down here everybody knows all bets are off when it comes to good eats.
Let's see.....I don't need another Shrew....already have a couple hunts planned. Need to look around and see what is up for bid.
Did someone say COOKIES!!!!!!!!!! :wavey:
Glad to see y'all finally came out to play. I was getting lonely..
Yes Mel somebody did say cookies. Me and Biggie. :bigsmyl:
I just got a new shrew last week and have another on order, have more knives than I know what to do with and have all of my hunting time reserved for the next year or so. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of unique stuff is going to be available this year. I didn't get any cookies last year but I do like cookies. I did not craft this fine example of the human form by depriving myself of cookies. I may want to invest with the right cookie consortium but I want to alliance with the group that has the best chance to be a winner.
Well, I can tell who will win...1K LLC
Can you guess what one share costs? You gotta really like cookies!
John.....I knows where your heart lies..Like mine about waste height... I also know your LOYALTY to the WEST :clapper:
So I have NO DOUBTS where the Kookies will land This year (http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d171/IronBull_/Smileys/mechbull-2.gif)
Remember them REBS ran outta AMMO first (http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d171/IronBull_/Smileys/EMOAGtongueOut07HL7.gif)
So I have NO DOUBTS where the Kookies will land This year
Yea me either... At 1K LLC.
I have a couple of very nice bows I will be putting up for the kids. Will also be looking for a couple of things. Cannot wait for the fun to begin. But ya'll can have the cookies, too rich for my blood in more ways than one,LOL.
Danny
Mmmm, Mmmmm! I can taste them now! :goldtooth: :goldtooth:
You can? Does that mean you're joining US this year?
My wife Ashley has already told me she will be doing Chocolate Chip cookies and Peanutbutter oatmeal bars again for this years auction. She likes to bake :bigsmyl: Joseph
No Biggie, Whip still had some left from two years ago.
MY oh MY....Sounds to me like they would have ya believin, They's got them things in the bag (http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d171/IronBull_/Smileys/wink3.gif)
No cookies for me, need to lose some pounds.
I do have a few interesting items I've put aside for St Jude though and of course TGMM memberships will be available again. :saywhat:
