I shoot a leather tab I cut from scrap leather I picked up from a local leather supply! Works great and got about 7 tabs from one piece of $5.00 leather! Its nothing fancy but works well for me!

I like the kant-pinch tab with the calf hair.  It just feels like a smoother release.

I shoot a glove because I can feel what's going on. With a tab, even though the release is cleaner I just feel like I'm controlling it.

I tried a lot of tabs and gloves. My favorite and go-to is a Neet calf hair. Gives me a good feel of the string and smooth release.

I've only been shooting Trad for three years this year and all has been done with a Damascus Glove.

I shot my friends tab last fall and hated it.

MG-Outdoor Provi Glove, made in Germany.
Expensive, but nearly indestructible and a really fast and smooth Nylon release.

I generally use a 3R Dura-glove.  When it's cold outside I wear my warm gloves and use a homemade tab modeled after the Dura.

Bushytail, I am getting the same results. I feel that when I use a tab that the string gets pushed closer to my face upon release, although I have always heard that tabs are a cleaner release. I would like to use a tab if I can figure out how to shoot it right. Maybe some guys have an opinion on what I am doing wrong. Or maybe I just quit messin around and stay with a glove. Is there that much performance difference?

when your hitting your nose, the tab is too long, trim it a little at a time, and save the nose.
only this year, here on tradgang , did someone tell me this secret, and it really does work.

I use a tab because;

1.  They are cheap and easy
2.  I won't give up being able to rotate the tab to the back of my hand, out of the way for the 300 other things I use my right hand for.

I've tried a tab and have seen the improved arrow flight but have had the same issue with the nose. It don't feel good!! lol. I'll have to try the new info and see if I can make it happen without injury. I definitely see benefits to using the tab

I use a glove.  Tried a tab and didn't like it.  I probably didn't try it long enough.  What I like about the glove is that it is always ready to shoot.  Doesn't shift position and I can't put it down and lose it.

I tryed trimming it back,trying differant brands,differant thicknesses.I guess i was meant to use a glove.I also tryed differnt gloves to, before i found one that works for me.If a glove  worked for Fred Bear,it can`t be a bad thing.I guess what i`m saying is,if it works for you,use it.Tab or Glove.

I shoot tabs. Gloves seem to get soggy when I sweat in warm weather. In winter, I can use the tab with gloves. I shoot heavy poundage bows, so I like the heavy duty tabs with 3 layers. I can't truthfully say that I shoot any better with either the tab or glove, though.
