Title: Odd looking turkey feathers

Took this bird last spring, never seen one like it before. Anyone else seen one like this?

i've never seen anything like it.  that's pretty cool.  Looks like wing barring in the tail.

some of the restocking birds were not 100% wild back in the day and so every now and then sone domestic comes out. good job cleaning the gene pool!

I have shot about half a dozen long beards with barred tail feathers here in VT and NY, I think they look pretty cool

I thought about it, but I just kept those 2 feathers, all the rest were normal.

I'm 48 and have been around turkey hunting from a kid on.And have seen a got of gobblers a thats the first one I've seen like that.
 I'd keep that fan.

That's a cross between a turkey and an owl.  Turkey gets upset, but the owl doesn't give a hoot.

I shot one years back that had a similar condition but much less than the one you shot, I always wondered what would have caused it but nonetheless thought it was cool. Heck I was just glad to have shot the sucker in the first place!
