Nearly fourteen months ago I placed an order for a Blacktail Elite VL one-piece recurve bow. During that time I've managed to put that bow 'out of sight, out of mind' knowing that one must be patient when one commissions an artist to do his work. While I'll admit that there were genuine feelings of envy when several folks here posted pics of their new Blacktail bows, for the most part I was able to put it all in perspective knowing that eventually I would be a proud owner of one of those beauties.
Well, today I got the call. My bow is ready and has been shipped. Now I find myself like a kid at Christmas anticipating Santa's arrival. All those months of patience are now a thing of the past as eagerly await the postman.
Norm said, "Thanks for your patience your bow came out great." I gotta say, he wouldn't be thanking me for my patience now of he knew how how much I am now anxiously waiting for that bow since I've received "the call".
Ain't it Grand!!!!
Sure is. :D
Norm is truley an artist. What woods did you go with!!
Pleae post pics when it arrives, I always love to see a new Blacktail. I know the feeling, mine took right about 13 months, but the wait was worth it, I'm sure you'll feel the same.

Yew limbs, cocobolo riser footed with ebony. I'll be sure to post pics when it arrives.
Congrats Rooselk! So it took 14 months? I put in an order for another one last Feb. They are definitely worth the wait! Can't wait to see it.
Yep, fourteen months. My invoice/receipt is dated January 8, 2008. But I have absolutely no complaints about the waiting period since I knew what to expect when I made the purchase. As a Blacktail owner yourself, I'm sure you'll agree they are definitely worth the wait.
I`ve ordered a TD ELITE VL 2 weeks ago.
Now I´m waiting..
Rooselk, I´m green with envy! :-)
Your bow is such a beauty!

Good choice on the woods. I use to have a coco and yew and it was stunning! Wish I still had it!
