My cousin is at the store buying Legacy shafts. He is new to traditional archery and this is a nontraditional shop. He is shooting a K-Mag at 50 lbs., 28 inch draw and 150 gr. Stingers. I suggested 2016's, because I have a similar set-up. The gentleman at the counter is telling him the Easton chart says the spine is WAY to soft on these. I am under the impression that the Easton chart is not very accurate for trad. gear. Who is correct and is there a better chart to go by? THANKS!!!! :clapper:
I had a k-mag 50lb @28" a while back, bareshafted 28" 2016 with 100 grain points with no problems, fletched them up and they flew like darts
Tell him 2016's are good to go.
Thanks, Christian!
I spine tested some 2016 Eastons once, as they fly well out of a couple of my 50 lb bows. However, I don't like the "clink" noise they make when they hit each other. They tested 59 lbs. I now use 60-65 doug fir and they shoot as just as well, without the "conduit" noise. I'd think 2016 should be fine.
