Dont know what you'll use but ...

... D-75 has a 130# breaking strenght to the single strand. You would want at least 4x your bows draw weight in a flemish string and I add 40% to this number for an endless one - all else is subject of tuning ...

Brownell recommends 14-16 strands. I would do 10 or 12 and pad the loops to 16 for a standard string.

Is there a resource on the web for breaking point figures? I don't want to buy all the expensive spools to test.

Id uses a scale to figure actual breaking point. I use 8125thin and it advertises 140# tensile strength but actually breaks at 52# on average. Use roughly five times your bow weight in string strength 50lb bow use six strands string, the actual number would be 5 strands but I round up to the nearest even number for Flemish but leave it as is on endless. If you are building a Flemish you might have to double center serve and pad the loops to 14 strands. With an endless you'll need to either use thick loop serving or double serve the ends to protect your tips it might not be necessary depending on your bow.

Anyone know the breaking strength (real, independently tested) for Fast Flight PLus? It'd be awesome to know.
