What a difference a day makes! Friday we were sweating in light cloths....

Yesterday it was downright cold and getting colder by the minute!
As you can see we still have some snow in the shady and north facing hills.....

I decided to outfit a pack for him to carry on our outings. All the needed items, TP, his custom "Jeremy knife" and backup pocket knife, headlamp and back up flashlight, rope, water bottle, snacks, compass, lighter, etc....he thinks it's pretty cool.
"Juuust a bit outside".....

Gotta work on getting him some weaker wood arrows...
We have to work on his camera skills(one of about five pix with no head)....
This pic showed me something we have to work on....his head is in an opposite tilt than his upper body and bow getting eye away from being over the arrow....

We ran into a couple ice fisherman....

The spot is a cool little funnel, but with few deer around it's hard to justify hunting there. But there are some bucks around...

Very nice. I am hoping my daughter keeps showing an interest, and making progress as she has lately. I'd love to post some similar precious memories.

Curt, Very nice. tell my little bud I said hi. I'm going to dig through some shafts and see how light of spine I have. Ed
Fantastic deal Curt. Enjoy the boy, wish I had one to pass it on to. My daughter is 10 now and acts like she's interested but the jury is still out on that one.
Thanks everyone
Al, I hope to get together some day and shoot with our boys
Thanx Ed!
TJ, My daughter asks to shoot more than Cade! Every day we shoot in the garage, she can't get enough, but she's only 4 1/2....
Again like always Guru,,You rock man,  , I can't wait till my boy is ready for the woods. I think he is I just don't have a good quiver for him yet.. I was wondering what kind of bow your boy is shooting,,Looks like it shoots great,,JB
Guru...that boy is going to put a first class beat down on you some day real soon from the looks of it. I'm getting my kids into it this summer and I'm taking them both turkey hunting this spring, daughter is 6 and my son is 5 so it's going to be a blast.
I've always enjoyed your threads on taking Cade to the woods and shooting, keep up the great work.
Josh
Makes my heart smile Curt. Reminds me of myself & Greg many years ago. . . .
Enjoy these years, they're precious.
Larry
Great pics Curt, I took the boys cmpng/stumpin friday and we had a riot. Good times for sure. After the long winter, t sure is nice to peel them away from the video games and get some fresh air, exercise and bust on some stumps.
You're a lucky man Curt , enjoy your time with Cade as the years fly by . I also see you're enjoying my favorite woods snack , cold pizza . A great day all around , Fred
Thanks Fellas :notworthy:
Won't be long and it'll be three of us
