Seems like we missed out on the snow here in the mountains. Good solid rain though so I guess we can't complain.

We got close to 3" here in Wetumpka,AL - about 10 minutes north of Montgomery. I for one doubted that it would materialize but I was very wrong. Not much of a day to be out due to the 25-30mph winds. BRRRRRRR!

Mnn, I'm about sick of the snow here! I went out looking for a couple arrows I lost a few weeks ago, still a foot of frozen solid snow in the timber! Come on Spring Turkeys!   :bigsmyl:

C'mon Biggie, if they can fake the moon landings how do you expect us to believe that.    :readit:    You should've at least got the local Piggly Wiggly in the shot.

We've had on and off blowing snow, sleet and rain all day. Some snow sticking on the grass but on bare soil or in trees. Charlotte will probably get 6" to 8". Go figure...I live in the mountains at 2600'.
We will probably get 2" of needed moisture from this system. We've been in extreme drought conditions for a few years now so every little bit helps.

You have to get right out in that tomorrow Biggie and start tracking somthing, you won't get many chances like that down there......now if you were up here you'd be screaming about the foot and a half that's coming tonight and tomorrow.....  :banghead:    :banghead:  If I could figure a way to send it your way I wouldn't hesitate, believe me......

Biggie

You better go and get Peanut to show you how to track in the snow.  I bet she will find whatever you are looking for.    :bigsmyl:

We even got some at Lake Blackshear...the robins & redbirds were trying to eat it as it fell...thought it was bugs i guess.  My brittany didn' care for it so we came back in after he treed a squirrel...would have been nice to stick for a day or two to get to the woods.....looks like we just got the tail end of it.

As long as you guys only track in it...I have family in Georgia, so I know how bad the snow affects the driving.  :smileystooges:

Our snow started sticking about sunset and has just stopped. We have about 5" and the temp is 28 and dropping. I will finally get to use a sled I bought 5 years ago.

Roads are clear this morning but we have about 2" on the ground.

I think I'm feeling sick this morning. Must've eaten some bad shellfish last night. Too sick to go to work but not sick enough to ease over to the new hunting spot for a few hours. See ya'll later.........

Biggie, we got about the same amount over here in MS. It started after midnight and stopped about 5 a.m., and nothing moved in my woods by 9 a.m. except a coyote. Not even any squirrel tracks- I think the snow scared 'em.

YEP. I jumped four bunches of deer all bedded in the pines. The last group was after 10am.

I followed each bunch a ways to see where they'd go. NONE of them ran over 100 yards before they stopped to look back and mill around a little then they just walked on. See, I learned something after all!

We have that lovely, miserable stuff for about six months up here. The only good thing about it is we don't have to be good trackers because it doesn't take Daniel Boone to track in the snow.

Don't worry Doc snow round these parts rarely hangs around more than a day or two. We got abot 5" here and its supposed to be near 70 in NC by next weekend.

We drove home from Ray's in that storm yesterday. All I know is you southerners should SLOW DOWN! We saw dozens of wrecks that could have easily been prevented with a little common sense.

Bunny stalking snow this morning. Thirty minutes in the back field with the new PAX this morning and two fried rabbits with eggs and biscuits and gravy by 8:30am.
