Title: Arrow wraps and re-fletching
Post by: GMMAT on March 01, 2009, 01:54:00 PM
I'm probably going to be ordering a doz. CX heritage shafts and I'd like to ask a couple questions:

1.  I have a Bitz and enjoy fletching my own arrows, but for the money I usually have them MTO from an online dealer (not a sponsor).  Is there a sponsor who offers them this way?  I'd gladly order from a TG sponsor, if possible.

2.  Is there a certain size onestringer wrap that fits these dia. arrows?

3.  Is it easier or the same to re-fletch when wraps are being utilized (I use bohning tape)?

I LOVE the look of arrows without wraps, but if it aids in re-fletching, I'll go that route.

4.  If there is a sponsor who offers this service, do they also carry the full line of onestringer wraps?

Thanks, guys.

I like to use wraps for carbons,it makes it a whole lot easier to redo without having to scrape the carbon shaft with a knife,They are easy to gouge, most likely will weaken the shaft there if you cut to deep.Wraps are easliy removed with a hair dryer or some hot water or steam. On a 5/16 carbon like CE I like 1&1/8" wide,I like just alittle overlap.A 1" wrap will usally cover but barely any overlap.I like 1" for Axis/MFX.
