My gosh!
Oh wow!
Wow !!! tell us the storie behind this one or are you still to shook up to talk
Congratulations on a great trophy! So what time do you want us to come to dinner? I'll even supply my own bib.
I had no idea...!! Lord dont ever let me run into somthing like that.( in the woods or the car)
No story(not mine anyway) just ran across it on the Great Plains web-site and thought Id share the pic.
What a hog... :D
Is a hog that big edible?
yeah, but those big floppy eared monsters are usually not as well suited to anything but sausage. an 80 lber to a 150 lber is the best eating.
That's one well fed brute!
:scared:
So they get that big? Could it be photoshopped like "Hogzilla" last year?
I think I'd run from that dude.
I don't think Great Plains would allow a photo shopped hog on their website.
good golly!!!
thats like a cape buf pig!!
He would have been easy to find in the swamp had you been down wind. I can smell`m from the pic.RC
That is a well feed pig look just look at his hams. We have lots of wild hogs where I hunt and over the past 20 years I have only killed two that were near 300lbs. Both of them had small cutters also you would think they would have big cutters at their weight. The normal mature wild hog around here is more like 150lbs to 225lbs lean and mean as they run many miles every day to make a living. Sometimes you do get some freak sized hogs that have a good food supply like a farmers creek feeder put out for cattle which hogs take advange of. I saw one hog that was in the 450+ Lb range shot on unfenced land but it turned out there was a large ranch less than one mile away that had over 20 large protien feeders out year around so I think he had been makeing a good liveing over there for some time to get that heavy.
Agree with RC.That sucker stinks. :D I would not let no one cook sausage made out of that one in my house.Talk about a bad smell. :(
2 weeks ago an email circulated that an 1800# hog was shot. Pics accompanied the note.
Title read: This over 1,800-lb wild boar was shot and killed in Conroe, TX, near the County Airport, east of I-45 and near the community of Cut and Shoot.
I dismissed it as just near impossible, or a hoax, but if so, it's gotta be some freak of nature.
Wonder what he used for a broadhead on that beast.
Vermonster--you are BAD! You have no idea how many times I have erased that very post :biglaugh: .

I would guess field point. We know that a field point won't kill a dead cow, but I bet it would kill a dead hogzilla!
SO...When we see a really big deer up-north here we call it a hog. Same with a really big trophy fish.
What do you call a really big hog then?
A lunker.
A toad?
Your kidding me right........that looks like a skinned out grizzly..WOW...what a hog...wouldn't want to get chased by that THANG.....I am going to have nighmares
Jer Bear
Irish,
I wouldn't run.... just put a strap on him, get on and nod. Then try to stay on for 8 ticks of the clock. But, on second thought, I would run screaming like a school girl. LOL.
Froggy
LQQks like he's been thru the BBQ already..Thats one big suasageee..
Crossbred with a Rhino!

A floppy eared barnyard pig! Wild hog my Ar$e, maybe for a day or two at best.
Me thinks so too!!
They dont get that big in the wild workin for their supper.
wow. dew claws to shoulder, that pig is nearly shoulder high to the guy in the picture... if standing normally. The depth of his chest, bottom to top is nearly the same as from ground to belt level on the guy. I have a hard time believing that kinda critter can make it around in the wild with out help from the farmer.
Either way, that woulda been a real pain to see that standing in the road in your headlights..
ChuckC
That is a huge pig. Wild hogs Should not get that big with out help.
Take a close look at the front of that tractor. That pig did a lot of damage when they hit.
Good I am glad to hear that I am not the only person that thinks that is a domestic hog gone "wild".
I was going to be quiet but since others mentioned it there is now way that is a wild hog.
It's wild like the way hogzilla "accidentally" got into that high protein fish feed. Also just "happened" to be on a pay to hunt pigs ranch.
In all honesty think of it like this. It takes you as a human weighing 200lbs at least 2000 cal a day to not LOSE weight. Where do you suppose a wild hog is getting thousands and thousands of calories a day without having to burn up energy looking for it?
I'll believe a 400, but not much past that.
You throw some of that stuff in the skillet and you are likely to break at least 7 EPA regulations.
