has anybody ever drilled zebra wood for quiver inserts?
I have a new Bear take-down supreme, with no inserts for a quiver. I sent the bow back to bear, to get inserts installed. They said that they would not drill the bow, And if I put inserts in myself, that they would void the warranty. They said it was because of the rose wood, but it looks to me that I could put the inserts in the zebra wood, which is a little closer to the center of the riser, and it would work fine.
Help?
Jeff
Hmmmmm. That's puzzling. Zebra wood isn't as strong as rosewood IMO. Lots of Bear takedowns have been drilled for quiver inserts. Don't know why it couldn't be done on the new ones. If you're willing to void the warranty, might want to see if a professional bow builder would do it for you. Good luck.
There are so many strap on quiver, light, nice and fast to take down that is a shame to ruin the integrity of a such beautyful bow for a quiver. Just my 2 cents
