Does anyone know whats going on with Bowyers Journal subscriptions, I signed up for a 3 yr. subscription and only recieved yrs. 2006-2007 nothing at all last year, heard they have a new owner and he was going to contact subscribers but never heard anything.. I e-mailed them this morning waiting to hear back from them now, has anyone else had this problem and had it resolved...really like the magazine and would like to renew but would like to get this resolved 1st.. please do not post negative feedback just wanting to know if problems are being fixed..
Tom Colstad purchased the Bowyers Journal late last year. His first issue on his own was the Winter 2008 issue.
Tom's plans for the magazine are to expand the focus to include a wide range of topics in traditional archery. And his number one stated goal is to publish each issue on time - the next issue is due out in March.
To address your individual subscription status questions call Tom at 715-536-1306 or email editor@tradarchersworld.com
His first issue was a great read. Looking forward to the next one. 2 thumbs up Tom.
Tom did a great job on his first issue. CK
yep gotta agree, 1st issue was very good. looking forward to march
The Bowyer's Journal is transitioning to TradArchers' World with the next issue. It is scheduled to go to the printer next week and should be published shortly thereafter. My Web site, www.tradarchersworld.com, (http://www.tradarchersworld.com,) FINALLY has the on-line subscription feature working. Also, if anyone has questions about the status of his/her subscription he/she should contact me at editor@tradarchersworld.com or 715-536-1306 and I'll check on it. Those receiving the Spring 2009 issue will have the expiration issue printed on the mailing address. Those whose subscriptions ended at 2008-4th will be sent the new magazine, but those whose subscriptions expired earlier in 2008 will not.
I hope everyone enjoys the new magazine.

What the heck?!!!!! No more bowyers journal?? Very SAD day indeed
Dean,
I had the same issue too. Had a 3yrs subscription and didn't get any of the issues last year. Talked with Tom and got a new subscription to go forward and just went back and bought the back issues from last year. Don't think Tom is going to have similar problems. Looking forward to some great issues Tom!!! dino
Nighthawk, not a sad day at all. TBJ is coming out better than ever; just with a new name that should better fit in with the new, additional content. Don't be sad, as good as it was, and it was good, it should be better than ever.
i purcheased 3 years only got 2 refused to renew mine i aint a happy camper about the whole deal i hear toms doin good but only half as much bowmaking and stuff as the old ones have and plans are to decrese that also
I really enjoyed his first issue as well. He will have my continued support! :clapper:
Tom took care of the problem, sending me the back issues I didnt recieve...thanks Tom..will be renewing my subscription...Dean
I met Tom at the WI bunny romp and listen to his vision for the new magazine. I really like what he has in store for additional content. This should be a very exciting transformation.
I havent been getting mine either .......... I had a multi year subscription but dont remember how long
Rick, just call or email Tom - he'll be able to figure it out.

Tom, Your link in your post doesn't connect, because there is a comma embedded in the address (after the .com)
Just a heads up. This one gets you there. ;)

I spoke with Tom several times the other night. He found my subscription info, which expired with the Winter 2008 issue, and is sendingmw the new issue in the mail. Top notch, nothing taking away from Brian, he did a fantastic job with TBJ, he brought it to life, and he has passed the torch to Tom.
