Title: G5 2-blade B-52's
Post by: Oliverstacy on February 25, 2009, 12:44:00 AM
Anyone use(d) these?  I just got 6 and I'm planning on using them this fall for deer.  I didn't realize they were this hard to find.

Anyone had luck with them?  How do they sharpen?

Thanks,

Josh

I thought they where great.  To bad G-5 doesn't make them anymore.

I talked to them a couple of weeks ago about coming out with a heavier version around 150 to 200 grains and didn't get a good vibe...maybe they'll do it someday.

I think the traditional market is expanding and they'll find out what they're missing!

Shot one deer with em. It did its job but was sticking a few inches out the opposite side, when the deer fell it broke the broadhead piece off the screw in portion of it. Not sure if thats really a problem with them but I wasn't very happy about it. I still plan to use the other two I have though.

To sharpen em I use a file. I just go right over that front chisel point. Grinds it down a bit but I can get the rest of the blade much sharper by doing so.

I plan to try some grizzlies next. I hear good things and there around half the price.
