Would the new magnus bullhead work well for a stick bow shooter like myself? I am toying around with the idea of useing it for turkeys. Has anyone tried it off there bow, on here?? Just thought I'de check out the possibilties here?? Thanks
Are you trying a head shot? That bull-head is a super sized blunt, right? I wouldn't use anything besides a broadhead on a turkey. I would save the bull-head for rabbits and squirrels.
Not a blunt but a super-sized 3 blade with about 4" of cutting diameter. Much like the Guillotine head. Not sure how good they from Trad gear though.
They shoot just fine out of a stickbow. I just can't get the turkeys to cooperate.
I use them they fly great out to 15 yards
I have not used the Bullhead but I have tried the guillotine. I bet it would have worked too if I had not have hit the tom in the leg. He is now nicknamed "hop-a-long" and does not cooperate in hunting situations.

You better be real careful on shot placement. You might be be real disappointed on how little penetration you get. Big is not always better when it comes to taking turkeys with a bow. tom
Bullhead is a decapitation type head guys....do not try to shoot for the body with one!
I know SteveO did quite a bit of testing on these in prep for his hunts last spring and found them to fly fine out of his set-up.
I would think as long as the shots is kept in the head/neck of a turkey that they would be deadly out of trad bows. I've been toying with the idea of trying them myself....
I saw them advertised on TV and the clips I saw were convincing. I just don't trust myself to hit such a small target...

I do not want to take a head shot!! It says on there web sight that 100 grs is for a body shot! So i thought it might work for that? The 125 's are for the head. Anyway thats what I read...
I agree with the head shot idea. They are a (from what I know) designed to cut the head off. I have considered them, because it is a dead turkey or a miss. I have tracked a couple of turkeys that were hit poorly with no success. With the wide blades if yo are within an inch or two of the neck or head you have your bird. If you miss they are not sure what happened. A bad body shot leaves a dead bird you never find.
