What's your favorite carbon arrows and why? I like the Beman Classics in a 500 but am thinking of going to the 400 and loading up the front.
Only ones I've tried are GrizzlyStik, which are seriously tapered to the back and give excellent EFoC. Never shot carbons before and the consistency, thus accuracy, is truly impressive.
I've been shooting Beman ICS carbons since 2001. They work extremely and I've never had a problem with them.
I have only tried GTs and CEs. I like the CE250s with 225gr upfront. They have the wood finish...so it pacifies my love for wood...kind of. Still love making and shooting wood. But the accuracy is impressive like Dave stated. The CEs have been pretty durable also. I have had great results in bareshaft tuning these also.
Arrow Dynamics  :clapper: :clapper:
Another vote for Arrow Dynamics
I like axis and the skinny bemans
Arrow Dynamics for me as well.
Grizzly Stik Woodies 500's. First ones I have shot and man what an arrow.
I went with the Easton Axis only because it's still made in the USA, at least thats what I was told by the guy at the local archery shop . He stocks several brands and he said the Axis was the only one made here. I had to ask him for that little tid bit.
Beeman MFX for me. Tough as old boots & a cinch to tune well. Penetration is beyond belief compared to the bigger shafts too.
Gold Tip and Carbon Express
Have had great luck with my carbon express heritages.
I am really liking the carbon express heritage
I too have had good luck with the CX heritages. Hey La bowhunter. How long ya lived in West Monroe? I graduated from Ouachita and lived there til I joined AF.
I like Gold Tips! The plain black ones, awesome arrows.
Kinetic IIs, ACCS and Gold Tips that were made in Utah. I also have some Easton aluminum.
axis 400 and 500's with 100 gr brass insert and anywhere between 125 and 300 on point wt depending on what bow I am using. I do not like the newer Nano ones as much as they make noise on the draw. I'll have to figure that out
CX and GT for value/everyday shooting.
Easton Axis/FMJ is my perfered hunting arrow profile.
Has anyone tried the new Traditional Only carbon arrows offered by 3 Rivers? I had a chance to see the prototypes beforehand when my dad purchased his new Tomahawk SS and they are a nice looking arrow. They utilize a regular insert system, as well as the Easton H nock. They are manufactured by Easton and "Made In The USA".
Easton Axis with 2" of 1916 for a footing. Hard to break them and they fly great.
Am I the only cheapskate? I buy any brand at the best price (blems).. with a little fine tuning they all fly great... More money left over for trips (hunting of course) Hugs, steve
Beeman MFX for me as well.
I've shot the Carbon Express and liked them. Thought I'd like the Beman MFX but had a lot of arrow breakage that seemed to be from arrow slap. It was odd. Recently started shooting GrizzlyStik Alaskans and I really like the way they fly. So far they've been quite strong too. But then again, while stump shooting one of mine took a direct hit from the side from a Judo about mid-fletch. That one's toast! Ha! todd
Beman MFX Classic's in 500 spine for the most part.
I just got some Easton Axis Realtree (basically the same arrow) in 400 spine and I'm going to shoot 100 gr brass adaptor.
I've also shot the Beman MFX Black Max and they are also great, they're the same as the Classic's without the wood grain layer.
Josh
Easton FMJ's .400 spine cut to 29" with 350 up front. They hit like a frickin train.
AD's  Very tunable..
For those that know me, I'm a timber shaft kina fella. But, I've just moved onto Grizzly Stiks for a test run and love 'em so far.
And I did not care for the AD at all, sorry to say.
ak.
Hey guys I met someone at the bunny shoot that gets carbons as seconds. Can't remember the name. They just have blemishes in the print. Anyone know where to get these?
Pete
Axis 400 with 225 woodsman up front
Beman MFX or Axis. I wonder how the new nano tube Axis shafts are in terms of durability....but, I have so many of the Bemans I may never need to buy new ones.
Bill been usin the nano axis - really cant tell a difference??? just to be honest. The AXIS s a pretty tough shaft.

Which ever ones are on sale :bigsmyl: I have shot a number of different ones(Beman ICS, ICS Bowhunters, CX Heritage, Axis, mfx, Goldtips) and have found that all of them fly true and hold up well to impacts. All of them will last a long time as long as you don't shoot them into rocks or cinder blocks. None of them hold up well if you do.
I really like the Beman ICS Bowhunters because of their cost. I have not tried the AD's or the Grizzlysticks because as you might have guessed, I am way too cheap.
I favor the AD's. I shot the grizzlys and liked them, but I have found the AD's to hold up a little better. That being said, I still shoot both because I have both.
axis 500 nice and thin less drag when going through.
