Nice! All I seem to be able to do is make little rocks out of big rocks.
Wow man, now that is something I'd really really really love to know how to do. Better yet, I think I'd die a happy man if I ever took big game with a knapped head. Sweet, Andrew.
Awesome stuff right there!!

These were all from preforms, so I will be working spalls once I get some free time. Haven't knapped in months now...

Wow! I just started last year and haven't done much over the winter because of an injury but seeing all this makes me itch to get back at it.

Preforms count BIG TIME! There is a nearly endless supply of rock. There is NOT and endless supply of varieties. If you want some Horse Creek Chert.......get it now. There are wonderful nappers that use this material from spalls and now it's scarce. You could have taken a spall and sliced it up into 5 preforms and made 5 points instead of one. It's a matter of responsible conservation.
Knapp on!
Jeez I hope they count! Here is a couple that I did from preforms.

Even though this pic doesn't do this knife justice by a long shot, it is my all time favorite and is very sentimental to me.
I made this very special knife for my best friend of 30+ years just before he passed away last year.

Wow, these are amazing guys! This makes me really want to try my hand at knapping! Are you generally using pressure or percussion flaking? What would be a good basic setup to start with?
Awesome work!
Nice work!! Can ya make'um in a "Threeblade"?? :smileystooges: :help: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Here's a point that I'm just finishing for a necklace. It is going to one of the Den mothers in my Cub Scout Pack that is leaving. It is red quartz glass.

Thats a beauty Brian! I'm kinda missing scouts even though it's been a few years. I was a scout master for 4yrs. but moved on when my son moved up and into a new pack. The one I was master of just kind of desolved over the years for lack of volunteers. Damn shame to.
Volunteers are the hardest part of Pack organization. I have 70 boys in my Pack. 4 of my best leaders are leaving at the Blue and Gold Dinner this Saturday. We'll have to wait and see how the new parents are. Thanks for helping the Scouts!

I'm the "really" big kid in the costume! They all think I'm nuts!!!
