SWEET!! Great bows for sure I own three and love them!! Shawn
Look good! I've been hearing great things about these bows and saw but didn't shoot Whip's.
Tim, where ya bracin the Firefly ? Thanks, Beautiful Bows ya got there !!
Two very nice bows Tim. Looks like they're shooters too. Good Luck with them.
Adam, the brace height is set at 7" and it shoots great. Very smooth and hits hard!!
Sounds good,, Thanks ...
Very nice Tim!
purrrrdddy tim!
Tim, you might want to experiment with a lower brace on the Firefly. A lot of them are really happy at about 6 3/4".
Nice bows!
:bigsmyl:
Greetings Tim!
Those are some nice lookin' takedowns Tim!
It looks like you are shootin' the same arrows out of both bows in the photographs. Would you please share what your arrow set up is and your draw length?
Thanks and enjoy!
Shoot straight, Shinken
Shinken, yes I am shooting the same arrows from both. The arrows are Easton 2020 cut to 29" with 125 grain points. I draw just shy of 28". These arrows have 4 5" parabolics on them.
These arrows fly really well from a number of my bows in this weight range. They seem to fly well from the Firefly but I didn't do any tuning with them yet.
Tim from Braveheart, That is just the way the bow was set up when I got it. I got an e-mail from Jim last night saying the same thing as you said. I will do some playing around to find the sweet spot. I just left everything how it was so I could fling a few arrows from it. I was like a kid at Christmas you know how that is!!
Man, the more of those LX's I see the more I like 'em!
The Firefly is a looker too!
Thanks for the feedback Tim!
Those 2020s are great aluminum shafts for sure.
Are both of those bows cut close to center?
Shoot straight, Shinken
Yes I believe the RER is cut to center or maybe a little beyond (I am not real sure on that one) but the Firefly is cut 3/16" past center.
Don't want to high jack this thread but what is the recommended brace height on the LX?

Beautiful bows Tim!
My dad has an LXR and loves it. Both the recurve and longbow limbs make for a great shooting bow. When I was back home I had a chance to shoot it and really had a hard time picking which limbs I liked best.
Thanks Tim! I love my LX too. It shoots great when I do my part but I am still not quite as consistent with it as I was with my former go to bow. I am thinking I just need a little more time shooting it before it all comes together. Looks to be a beautiful afternoon here in SD (mid fiftys) so I plan to cut out of work early and spend some more time with my LX!
I hear ya man. I wish it was 50's here!!! :banghead:
