Looks like I did not.
:knothead:
 Hope some of ya did!
J,
I'm going to start on points this year...how many you got? Shoot me a PM if you don't have a partner yet, maybe we can work something out.
SO
Not yet but I just found out today that I didn't draw turkey

Here's the lookup site.
Good luck to those in the draw.
Decided to opt for buying a point this year--too much else going on in AK!
Heading back to 38. Can't wait for September.
If I lived in Ak then Wyoming draw would be the last thing on my mind!!!!
Steve,
I got four points but no partner for WY. My best buddy just won a Dall sheep hunt raffle this morning! I've about written him off for good. I'll PM you soon and we can compare portfolios and see what we can get brewing.

Sometimes it's nice to have an affordable hunt mixed in the works and one that isn't guaranteed to be solid rain. Hunting Alaska is extremely expensive for most reasonable opportunities. I have a incredible private ranch lined up out of Laramie once I draw WY elk that almost no one gets on.
BTW, I lived in Cheyenne in 92 and 93 and really loved it.
Steve, I'll add a bit to that. By about mid Sept, it's about over with here unless you like moose and I hate hunting them. Deer are best in Nov and I can fly to WY and hunt them for less money than it costs to go to Kodiak and hunt.
Besides, I like drying out once in a while.
Dan, send me an email and I'll send you some photos fm my son and I goat hunting this last Sep and you'll see why I hunt MT, WY, SD and MN each year. Oh, did I mention I have the three things a man needs to retire. Good hunting dog, 4 wheel drive truck and a wife. My job is to keep all three working.
Have fun,
Larry
after this year I'll have 4 elk and 3 deer points in WY.

Well I suppose so, I just thought that it would be cheaper for residents to hunt in Ak. Wyoming is wonderful and it is between Montana and Wyoming as being the bowhunters dream state. That area just outside of Laramie is a tough draw. I have two places that I hunt out here and both are General draw for residents :jumper: The only thing I have to draw is Moose and sheep, and I am still waiting on one of those.
Dan
Found out I did!! Never hunted out of state and won't be able to hunt until October. But that is fine.
I let a friend hunt my bear stand last year, and turns out his dad is a quide there in Wyoming and is going to let me hunt with him! What a good deal!
For those of you that live in AK and hunt the lower 48, or anyone else that can help with info, how do you get all the meat, antlers, and cape back home?
Thanks
I believe it would be easier to draw the area specific tag than general as a NR. I need the general tag, for I believe Unit 10.
if you put in the Special Draw(more money) for general elk, the odds were 77% with no preference points this year!!
Jason, email sent with answer to the transport question. Won't be the first time the navy helped the army get around.
Keep safe
LOL..take that!
G'luck in your hunts fellas.
Thanks Larry,
I'll take a ride when ever I can get it!!
And info too!
