man i lose or bust arrows pretty quickly. I lose, misplace, or bash BH even quicker. I have heard of guys having a single BH and taking several game animals.
what is the longest time ya shot one single BH and how many trophies have ya brought one with it?
rusty
Rusty, I don't keep track. I know that I killed two turkey's with the same Deadhead on the same day. I've put various Ribtecs, Zwickeys and Eclipses back onto a shaft(it seems like most of my hits have led to a busted arrow) and stuck them in my quiver............. but which ones killed which animals or got lost just hasn't been kept track of. I did shoot a single Javelina twice with the same Snuffer 2 blade once (actually 3 times cause the tip rolled on the first shot and it bounced off the second -beat the tip back straight with a rock for the finisher 'cause I was out of arrows!)
The most I know of is two. We hit the "feast" on a caribou hunt and I killed two with the same arrow, a Kerry Gesink compressed ramin and a Ribtec 160.
I killed a small buck, two javalina, a turkey, and two hogs with the same broadhead. The last hog tweeked a blade a little so I retired it. Woodsman!
wow that is impressive. I have got several arrows that are keep shakes from nice trophies but I didn't want to lose them by using them again.
doowop that is a great list. what kinda shafts were you shooting.

I killed 3 deer and a turkey with the same Zwickey delta broadhead. They do get a little thin after a bunch of resharpening.

I have an arrow in my bow rack that I used to take four out of my six deer in 2001. I also had an Ace Standard that I killed five deer with until I lost it. I have two other Standards that now have two and three deer each to their credit.
Killed three deer with the same Woodsman head on a Trad Lite shaft this Fall. Third one was from a ladder stand and went down near the spine and out the bottom of the chest. His "death flight" made it about 150 yards, but somewhere in that run he snapped off the arrow tip, and the "magic" head was gone. Looked a long time, because I suspected it had stuck in the ground at the shot and snapped, but a litle bit of black shaft doesn't show up very well in the woods...
Oh, well, the next one worked JUST as well!! It was fun to have the repeat performances, though...
I have one in the quiver now that has 3 deer and one with 4. They have stripes on the shafts so I can keep track. ;) I broke the 4 kill shaft this year, but it is on a new shaft and starting over. Last year I lost one with 6 already on it after a pass through in tall grass. I was sorry to loose that one. I have one retired with 5 or 6. It got a cracked shaft so I retired the whole thing with the last rack it took. I shoot carbons of course. Before that with aluminum or wood it would be one for the arrow anyway.
I have a Zwickey 8 bucks with before I
Ihad a Zwickey I killed 8 bucks with lost it on the 9th with shouder shot on a nice 8 point I did'nt recover.Had another I 2 Bucks 2 turkery's got a pass through on the second gobbler and lost it.Kills on rabbits unknown.[Seting in pots]
man that is amazing

Maybe RC will chime in. I think he told me he had killed something like 13 critters with one Wensel Woodsman. Straighten me out if I'm wrong Robert.
Interestign idea, I've alway retired the arrow after the kill. I think with the new high dollar arrows and BHs, I'll be recycling. LOL
MIke
I had an ACE broadhead that I killed 2 hogs and a deer with, plus missed a coyote. I sent it to Dustin and he may try to add a few to it.
Right now I'm using a set of Snuffers that have been through the ringer. A couple of the blades are bent, but they still fly straight.
I took a buck and 2 does with a Magnus, 125, 2 blade, on the 3rd deer it was rib to rib, exited over the edge of a bluff and heard it ricochet off 3 or 4 trees down through the holler. A guy cutting timber in there 2 years later found a broadhead with about12 inches of shaft 20 ft up in a tree he had dropped, was wondering what they were shooting at up that high. I never got to look at it, but wondered if it was mine. Thought it was funny.
Kroger that is an insteresting story.
One time I had a doe duck pretty badly and I shot a little high also. I saw her run of with the arrow. I shot her three yrs later out of the same stand. I know it was her casue my BH was still in her. had been encapsulated and was a lump right above her shoulder. she was the biggest doe I ever shot.

Trashwood, I shoot Easton Epics. 100 grain steel insert. The arrows that don't pass thru get busted.
I have 3 ss bear heads been using since they came out,6 bucks on my one lucky head
I have an old blue Zwickey Delta 4 blade that I took 14 deer with back in the 80s....I took it out of retirement two years ago and shot my Bday Hog with it in TX...and now its back retired agan.
:campfire:
Magnus Stinger 150 grain 4 blade (3 Deer taken) and then I tried the WOODSMAN 150 GRAIN (2 Deer taken). These are the best by far c/o/c broadheads out there. IMHO!!!!! All 5 deer were taken in the '07 and '08 hunting season. :archer:
Terry - wow now that has got to be some kinda record. 14 deer on one BH! Ah has anyone every mention that you might be a little anal retentive? :)

"Terry - wow now that has got to be some kinda record. 14 deer on one BH!"
Almost, but not quite. ;) I used Zwickey Delta two-blade heads for years. I killed 15 big game critters with the same head. Lost the darn thing on the last one--a Quebec black bear. I looked for the thing for hours.
Jim.....I killed 14 deer and one hog...and I still got the head!!! Not sure if you consider hogs big game or not, but it was a respectable hog for sure.
You got me tempted to bring it out of retirement again.!!!
15 is a really strong number....that's why I put it back up....thought I'd lost mine as well as the hog made it to a real thick pine thicket and we found it due to a dog.
I might just use it again some time....its got the lucky charm I tell ya! A rare blue paint Z from the mid 80s....there aint that many blue ones around.
I shot 3 deer with the same cedar shaft and WW. This fall the shaft broke just behind the head. Arrow was still long enough to taper and mount a new head on for my son to use. It would be real neat if he killed his first deer with that shaft. It is fletched with turkey feathers I cut, chopped and ground my self.
Okay, Terry; You got me. lol lol I do consider pigs as big-game. I wish I had put that last Delta up before that darn bear lost it for me. Wish I had a metal detector on that trip. He only went 50 yards. :^)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a Zwickey advertisement in a bowhunting magazine where a hunter claimed to have killed 50+ deer with one head...Bobby
oh my gosh, I have not killed 50 deer in my life. (and I am old :) ). I wonder if he used the same bow.
rusty
I've got a Judo that might have that many critters (50) to its name... :-)

Yep. I picked up a half dozen at a swap meet several years ago. A buck ot two each as I recall. I put one through a big doe and then retired it.
