Title: My new stallion
Post by: shortstroke 91 on February 20, 2009, 10:05:00 AM
She's a Quinn Stallion Classic 60" #47 @ 28. I'm not a big fan of the shiny black finish that came on her so I hit it with flat black and I like that a lot better. I got the Coyote paw print limb bolts from Frank and Shell and they really set the look and match the limbs quite well.
Still haven't decide her name yet, maybe yall can help with that.
I put on a sure grip and home made shelf and plate and she shoots right where I look. The smoothest drawing bow I've ever shot, faster than all my others and just as quiet if not more so.
I've never posted pics so here goes nothing.

Congrats and good luck. I'm thinking on one of these near future. Everyone says the same thing about how smooth and fast they are. I don't like metal handles, but will defer to it to get such a nice bow and so reasonalbe. How come, however, didn't you get the wood handled model? I think they call it the classic.

Great bows. I have one with the standard limbs(not classics) and it is THE best bow for the money. As good as many more expensive bows. Perfectly fitting grip(for me) and the modest looks allows me to change the camo pattern at will and not fret over covering up pretty wood. Great hunting bow for sure.

Shortstroke...I just received my Stallion CLassic (45#@28") on Tuesday of this week and it finally stopped raining long enough to shoot it yesterday. Man, I am impressed. Smooth, fast and very user friendly. Good luck with yours. Where did you get the neat bolts?

Ssamac, the wood riser has a thicker grip and with small hands I really prefer the narrow 4&1/4 diameter on the aluminum riser.

Shoots as good as most bows, better then many. I really liked my Stallion, may it rest in peace

Thanks for the welcome.
She's a great shooter for me, I took it out this weekend to a local 3-D shoot and shot a 302 out of 400. I was around 220 with my longbow and grizzly.
