Doing some experimenting, and playing. Any suggestions on nice customs for around 600.00$
mike at maddog archery has affordable bows. everyone really seems to like. I hope to get one.
Several choices available. Might want to look at a Bob Lee recurve.
Try Huntworthyproductions. James Parker makes an excellent bow and I believe he offers a lifetime warrenty(his life)
Bob Lee, Checkmate, Rose Oak
Whisperstik.
bob lee. check out their website. they have heaps of in stock bows ready to ship. you might just find one you like.
Whisperstik. www.whisperstikbows.com (http://www.whisperstikbows.com)
HolmMade, Lee(in the sale section), Rose Oak, Mad Dog, Black Mountain, Martin, Quinn, etc
Definitely Whisperstik
Dryad Orion - (see Sponsor List)
just to add to the excellent suggestions already made
Priced at under $400, I dont think you can beat a Quinn. I bought a Quinn Longhorn Classic for my son and it is one sweet shooting bow. Shoots as well as any bow I own and is a beautiful bow to boot.
RER bows are $600 and under if you don't get too fancy with the woods. My Arroyo is a GREAT shooter.

I'd have no problem recommending a Rose Oak Tomcat.
holm made bows, they are a sponsor here as well.
you can get our Orion 3 pc curve with bamboo cores and handlewood upgrade for under $600.

You won't be sorry.
RERBOWS get my vote, you will not find a better performer for the money anywhere. Great customer service and one of the very best bows out there, T/D or one-peice~! Shawn
Wow.. this is fun. Great suggestions!
Check out Legends Bows a sponser on this site Leaf bow. Mike Rash the boywer is the inovater of the use of carbon in the Limb design. For most bowyers carbon is an expensive add on for Mikes bow it comes standard. Smooth, quiet, accurate, and very fast. Give Mike a call tell him Jerry / bomber sent you, Thanks Jerry.
I'm going too second Lindsays' suggestion. Bob at Kohannah builds a great bow. I have a custom one piece Kurve from him and it's a great shooter and looker.
You might check out my webb site. SarrelsArchery.com
Don't forget Predator Bows. The basic model is right around $500.00 and shoots just as good as the fancy ones.
RER is another good choice if you do not mind waiting a little while for it.
Good luck and God Bless,
Paul
I am super happy with my Hunter II by Chek-mate. Chose my woods for riser and limbs. Shoots great. I have even ordered a second set of limbs I am so happy with it.

Kohannah, Check-mate, Allegheny Mt Bows, and Great Plains Kiowa.
All the vendor's mentioned already are fantastic. Personally I can vouch for Dryad and RER, though theres a few on this list I would love to have in the stable in the future...
I will second Sarrels Archery...great bows and great service both before and after the sale.
I will throw the Lewis Hollow in again. Chris builds an awesome 1 piece recurve. Or, if you are looking for a 3 piece his longbow riser can also be bought with recurve limbs.
